Dear @kritisanon
You wouldn’t dress for Eid the same way you dress for a nightclub. You wouldn’t dress for Christmas the same way you dress for a beach holiday. You wouldn’t wear Halloween attire to a traditional wedding.
There is a reason we dress differently for Holi, Diwali, weddings and religious festivals. Clothing, food, sweets and traditions are all shaped by the occasion.
The issue isn’t “telling women what to wear.” The issue is whether what is being promoted is appropriate for the occasion.
Wear whatever you want in your personal life or films. That’s your choice.
But when you participate in a festival rooted in tradition, showing some sensitivity toward the occasion isn’t oppression.
It’s basic cultural awareness. 😇
Best wishes to Andhra Pradesh’s hardworking Chief Minister and my good friend, Shri Chandrababu Naidu Garu. Under his leadership, Andhra Pradesh is scaling new heights of progress across all sectors. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life in service of the people.
