It was great to welcome the delegation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), led by Prof. Susan Martinis, Senior Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation, in Mumbai today for a meaningful and forward-looking discussion.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is one of the world’s top universities and an esteemed institution with a legacy spanning more than 180 years.
Had a good discussion and brain storming on corporate - university partnerships, how the Govt + University + Private can prove to be biggest boosters for economy and growth.
As Maharashtra leads the AI revolution, collaboration with an institution such as UIUC will be pivotal to this transformative journey ahead for the future ready human resources.
The discussion centred on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and design thinking in youth, while exploring advanced domains such as quantum technologies, AI, nuclear reactors, energy, CS+X education systems, biomanufacturing, interdisciplinary approaches and blended degree programmes.

Maharashtra welcomes the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to be part of International EduCity in Navi Mumbai, envisioned as a Centre of Excellence that will strengthen the State’s potential as a global human resource powerhouse.
