The reality of rape is that most times you're not going to have injuries on your body. You may not even have any forensic evidence at all. But rape is not bad because it causes injury, it's bad because it is, again, a form of torture, unlinked to degree of "lasting injury."
The guy who was mock drowned was not "less tortured" than the guy who was electrocuted or whose brother was shot in front of him. Like the second you start creating a scale of "less tortured" to "more tortured" you have failed at understanding the subjectivity of trauma/pain
