It was only after Shlomo Mansour, z”l, was kidnapped by Hamas that his family found his secret journal about his experiences in the Farhud, a Nazi-inspired massacre of Baghdad’s Jews.

“They massacred Jews in a very brutal way: they beheaded people, cut off the limbs of babies, threw babies into wells in front of their parents, and cut off their heads. The Muslims broke into my parents' house when Shlomo was 3 years old and my sister was a baby in a crib. They beat my parents badly and shot their dog," says Hadassah, Shlomo’s sister.

"After that, Shlomo ran in a panic to the roof, saw a scene from there that left an impression on him, and wrote about it in his diary, which was found after he was kidnapped.

“Two Muslims were playing with the child, the baby, like a ball – and the mother was begging to take him. They impaled him and gave him to her."

Shlomo witnessed such horrific anti-Jewish violence that he couldn’t bear to tell his closest loved ones.

Violence of the same kind that traumatized him as a three-year-old eventually claimed his life at age 85, when Hamas murdered him and took his body captive.

Shlomo’s story is unspeakably heartbreaking. It is precisely because it was too painful for him to tell that we must tell it now.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum bows its head upon receiving the devastating news of the murder of Itzhak Elgarat, Tsachi Idan, Shlomo Mantzur and Ohad Yahalomi of blessed memory.

We received with profound sorrow the news about the identification of Shlomo Mantzur, Tsachi Idan, Itzhak Elgarat, and Ohad Yahalomi of blessed memory who have been laid to eternal rest in Israel.
Tsachi, Itzhak, and Ohad were kidnapped alive from their homes in Kibbutz Nahal Oz and Kibbutz Nir Oz and endured a prolonged period in Hamas captivity in Gaza. They should have returned alive; they could have been saved and brought back through an agreement.
Shlomo was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Kissufim and murdered on October 7.

We share in the heavy grief of the Idan, Elgarat, Mantzur and Yahalomi families.

59 hostages remain in captivity with no release date in sight. We urge all decision makers to ensure the return of the last hostage by the 50th day of the agreement. The hostages have no time left - they must return home to be reunited with their families or brought to a dignified burial.

Nominating UNRWA as a candidate for the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE?

UNRWA Commissioner-General was presented with clear evidence that ties workers at a Palestinian aid agency in Gaza to violent acts during Hamas terror attack on Israel:
An UNRAW teacher was recorded kidnapping women, another is said to have handed out ammunition to terrorists. A third was described as taking part in the massacre at a kibbutz, where 97 people were murdered.
One of their social workers was captured taking the body of 21-year-old Yonatan Samerano in UNRWA’s truck into Gaza.

UNRWA admitted that 9 of its employees may have been involved in the October 7th attacks.

Terrorists don't get prizes.

The Nobel Peace Prize is not something that can be associated with kidnaping and killing.
The Nobel Peace Prize can only be given to people or organizations promoting PEACE.

An organization who’s employees were actively a part of the October 7th atrocities, who’s vehicles transported bodies of people who were murdered at a music festival – and not in order to bring them to proper burial but to use them as leverage. Such an organization CAN NOT even be considered for this prize.

Urgent Call to Health Organizations to Acknowledge Murder of Healthcare Professional Carmel Gat and Advocate for Immediate Hostage Release.

The Hostages Families Forum, together with Israel’s leading medical and academic figures, including the rector of The Hebrew University and the deans of Faculties of Medicine across Israel, has issued an urgent appeal to international health organizations to address the brutal murder of Carmel Gat, a 40-year-old occupational therapist, along with five other hostages who were executed: Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, and Almog Sarusi.

The Forum calls on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and all health organizations to publicly condemn these heinous acts and take immediate action to protect all hostages and healthcare workers still held captive. It is imperative that these organizations advocate for the immediate release of all hostages and address this atrocity with the utmost seriousness, as they would for any violations against healthcare workers in conflict zones.

Carmel Gat, of blessed memory, was a dedicated occupational therapist specializing in mental health. Even in captivity, her compassion never wavered. Carmel remained a beacon of hope and support, continuing to care for others and supporting fellow hostages through daily yoga and meditation.

Professor Hagai Levine, Head of the health team at the Hostages Families Forum: "The silence of international health organizations regarding the murder of hostages this week is disappointing and painful. We expect them to address harm to all individuals, including the hostages in Gaza."

Family of Manny Godard Creates Powerful Display on the Beach Where He Grew Up: "We Wish We Could Throw a Life Preserver to Each of the Hostages".

Two days ago we marked the birthday of Manny Godard, who was murdered on October 7th in his home in Be'eri along with his wife Ayelet. His body is still held captive in Gaza.

Manny spent his childhood on the beach in Bat Yam alongside his father, who was a lifeguard there. This is where Manny's love for the sea began. Over the years, Manny became a lifeguard on Israel's beaches, saving many lives during his career.

The display includes 115 yellow life preservers symbolizing all the hostages - those alive, murdered, and fallen. The life preservers are inscribed with the word "Help" in various languages, collectively forming the acronym SOS.
