Hypothetically, you're attending a football game. You bring a tent, a grill, a few chairs, and a few friends. You sent up in a parking lot across from the stadium. Public ground.
You get up to flip the burgers and a pathologically entitled person runs up under your tent and sits down in your chair.
You ask him to leave, your friends ask him to leave. He refuses. So you grab his leg to pull him out of the chair.
By your logic, this insufferable prick is entitled to murder you now because, "self defense?"
Wrong. He provoked the situation and he refused a peaceful outcome. This demonstrates intent to start a fight. Coupled with his knowledge that he was armed, this constitutes murder.
Well this wasn't "assaulting them whenever (they) feel like it." That's a lie.
It was a reserved tent for a team during an event at a school Karmelo didn't even attend. And he was asked to leave politely, and then not so politely.
Counter-question:
What makes random black people feel entitled to go anywhere they want and do anything they want thinking if anyone has a problem with it, that makes them a white supremacist?
If you jumped onto the field of a professional football game (for instance) and sat down on the team bench and one of the players grabs you and says he is gonna beat your ass, does this now entitle you to start stabbing away?
Some places you're not allowed to go. Even if there aren't police right there to enforce it.
Your refusal to acknowledge this point just illustrates the level of entitlement you have. Approaching the level Karmelo has.
It's central to the case. And IMO it supersedes any claim for self defense.
This situation only happened because Karmelo went where he didn't belong. Stubbornly refused to leave when asked. Then immediately chose to use lethal force when physically confronted.
His INTENTIONAL choices, resulted in Austin's death. This is murder.
Definitely lends more credibility to a self defense claim. However proportionality still applies here.
We're not talking about a fist fight, we're talking about a fatal stabbing.
Plus I still don't buy the, "he had a right to be there," argument. It was a specific team tent for a school he didn't even attend. To which he entered armed with a knife he shouldn't have had. And he was asked to leave by multiple people, multiple times, long before any physical altercation began.
All this still reads as him being the initiator, threats notwithstanding. Like he was looking for a fight. That isn't self-defense. At best, imperfect self-defense which still means manslaughter.
@DineshDSouza Muhammad over in Afghanistan has three wives that aren't allowed to talk and 10 children.
The west has these insufferable, entitled women.
Think there is any chance she will give an average guy an opportunity in what remains of her dwindling fertile years?
We're cooked.
@Rothmus Serve if you are able to manage and you get a waiver for a number of years afterward. Depending on your disposition it may actually be interesting.
I found my service to be quite interesting albeit a tease as I was an alt. I didn't get to participate in the deliberations.
Stand your ground presumes some proportionality.
Or do you think everyone should just be able to pull out a weapon and murder someone because of a minor altercation? This the energy you really want?
If someone bumps into you or steps on your shoe, should you just start blasting now?
@downbadcomment Wow. Jealous of his cat. Hilarious!
How about she greet him with similar affection every time he comes home? Probably never crossed her mind.
@GOP_is_Gutless What an absolute loser governor. The red states are looking more attractive then ever.
Federal bailouts should be staunchly opposed to these retarded zero-wits who ruin their states. Why should we have to subsidize their destructive ideology?
Trump today claimed he “didn’t promise anything” about NO NEW WARS.
So here’s a second compilation showing FIFTY times during his campaign where he PROMISED exactly that.
Yes and this is the true problem in the inter-generational conflict. It isn't boomers generally, it's the leftist boomers specifically.
Sure, a lot more boomers are just out of touch because they just don't understand how the world works now. Too much has changed.
And this criticism does cut both ways. We don't know what it was like back then either.
BUT leftist boomers advocated and voted for ALL of the movements and programs currently suffocating the country. Be it the environmental movement, feminism, all the alphabet soup of agencies and departments, the welfare state, the list is nearly endless.
They only thing they somewhat got right was the anti-war stance. Problem is, their marxist tendency to empower government everywhere else made a warfare state inevitable. The money found it's way to war, period.
The only real solution was traditional conservative/libertarian more akin to Goldwater and the like. Dramatically shrink the size and scope of the government. Return the money back to the people. Free market for money.
Yes he advocates for some traditional views. But never forget, the only reason why anyone knows who he is, he was a scam artist and a pornographer. Arguably trafficking girls to a different country to facilitate his pornography.
He doesn't reject or denounce what he did. He doubles down and thinks he's a genius for doing it.
He is funny and entertaining and, considering the tide we face, I do think he is moving the needle somewhat in the right direction.
But I would never trust him and take everything he says with a big grain of salt.
If you find the culprit and convict them, I think public execution would be fitting. Send a message.
This isn't simple arson, which is bad enough. This is an overt cultural declaration of war. Meaning it's high treason.
If someone set our founding documents ablaze, I would advocate for the same. They may think it's just an old piece of paper. I don't.
Strawman.
The average person isn't asking you to stop being jewish. We have an issue with a foreign state dragging us into armed conflicts that don't serve our interests.
People used to be asleep. No so much anymore.
I'm sorry for jews that catch flak in the crossfire. There are many jews, including rabbis even, who ALSO agree that many of the policies Israel pursues are damaging to jews the world over.
Perhaps the ham fisted deflections, framing all criticism as anti-semitism, is to blame? Just like calling everyone racist for observing the issues in the black community as if they don't exist.
If you tell someone they just hate jews long enough, you might jedi-mind trick them into defiantly agreeing.
There are instances where it works. Say for instance, you have two peoole who were married, had kids, and got divorced. They both go back out dating, find each other, get married again.
I think that can work. Both parties had families, they know the score, they HOPEFULLY learned what can go right and what can go wrong.
This can absolutely work.
What is very likely NOT going to work, is a single-mom trying to use her beta orbiters as a fallback plan.
She will not respect him. She will grow to resent him. Her kid with another man will always come first.
Depends on the circumstances. But as the OP prompted, this guy is just taking on the baggage of a women who previously wouldn't even give him the time of day.
She CLEARLY expressed she wasn't interested in the past. This makes her current intetions suspect.
This should be obvious.
@RealPostFolder Smart man. Probably won't die alone either.
He knows what we all know. He will ALWAYS be the backup plan. She's only "interested" in him as a parachute for her bad choices.
What is it women always say? If she didn't want him at his worst, she doesn't deserve him at his best.
