You know what never changed since the pandemic began? The disregard for disabled people.
When the government says the new variant is "just mild" they keep their hands free from taking care of the disabled, immunocompromised, not to mention poor.
Because we're nobodies, right?
this is a good example of how population health cannot be secured individually
health cannot be a personal responsibility when the conditions for health do not exist
when you lack safe food, clean air, or clean water, individual choices cannot save you
Y’all really think it’s a coincidence that they’re pushing data centers, Meta glasses, and Flock cameras all at the same time? I know literacy rates are crashing, but come on.
pax silica is so stupid because why is the government willingly letting AI and foreign investors benefit from OUR natural resources? why should we let them use thousand hectares of land for AI but draw the line at expanding agriculture? none of this makes sense
they also never include anything about displacement, as if kapag nirelocate e okay na, as if walang kulturang binuhay at kabuhayang itinaguyod sa konteksto ng kapaligiran nila.
kasama sa inis ko mga plano ng esplanade, public parks, third spaces sa kalunsuran
Alam niyo kinabibwisitan ko sa mga nagsa-suggest ng modernization? Di kasama sa plano nila ang waste management at disposal system. Laging afterthought.

I still just cannot understand how the General Public has completely forgotten that there was a time when everybody wasn't sick all the time. Much less during the summer months.
correct me if my logic doesn't make sense,
pero bakit pinag-uusapan kung grave threat ba o hindi yung sinabi ni sara duterte kay bongbong? bat kelangan hanapin kung may hired gunman?

Hear me out:
Supporting industries like this means we should foremost support the call for Tunay na Reporma sa Lupa.
These industries are dying because what? Land use conversion.
LRT i recall there’s two pizza restos from laguna and siargao that uses pandan boxes for packaging. i really wish we support our leaf arts more rather than relying on styrofoam and plastic. not only bc its pretty and eco-friendly, but doing so also supports our local weavers!
The elite are irrelevant. Society literally doesn’t need them.
We need garbage collectors, teachers, fire fighters, librarians, farmers.
The more we realize we need each other, the closer we are to a better world.
They removed CD/DVD drives from devices.
They made physical media harder to buy and use.
They removed expandable storage from phones.
They pushed us into streaming subscriptions.
They made always-online normal.
They made unlimited internet necessary.
Then slowly raised the price of everything.
Ownership quietly became renting.
These people want us dead or as indebted prisoners. There’s only one reliable, tried and true solution to this, and it does not reside in the voting booth.
I'm a proponent of imperfect masking. I mask on transit, in stores, and in health care settings. I have a few activities I do sans mask because it either would not notably decrease the risk, or because it's just impractical. I'm rarely sick as a result, and it's totally worth it.
I am tired of these greedy, walking corpses telling us it's inevitable that we fall into mass surveillance and control via digital ID.
Their imminent death is more inevitable than this dystopian shit.
We do have a say in this and we can push back against these monsters
The Liberal Party under Leila's chairmanship has become the true democratic socialist party, and the party claiming to be democratic socialist has become more liberal than the liberal party.
We're glad to struggle with you, Manay Leila 💛
