UNITY AND LOVE IN POLITICS

Yesterday, I joined my brothers, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, the Presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, the Leader of the APM, at the commissioning of the party’s Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja.

I used the opportunity to emphasise the need for us to build a New Nigeria anchored on Unity, Love, Justice, mutual respect, and inclusion, particularly at a time when political contests can become unnecessarily contentious and divisive.

We must insist that our shared love for our country should always be greater than our political differences. This is my call to all contestants in the forthcoming elections.

Let our contest be about ideas and solutions that will address the enormous challenges facing our country today: insecurity, poverty, hunger, inequality, and the growing number of out-of-school children.

Let us compete on ideas that will unite our people, improve their lives, and restore hope to our nation, while maintaining respect, decency, and love for one another.

I congratulate my dear brothers, Governor Seyi Makinde and Governor Bala Mohammed, as well as all the leaders and members of the APM, on this important milestone.

I didn't expect this much engagement… but this got me thinking.

I exit places that no longer serve me and my future. I was 8 when I packed my clothes and books into a black plastic bag (called polybags in those days), carried it on my head, and walked for almost 2 hours from my father’s big house to my mother's one-room face-me-I-face-you in Ajekunle, where she lived alone. I knew outright that a stepmum who was already pitching to my father to pull my older brothers out of secondary school and to learn “radionics” and “sign-writing” did not have our best interests at heart.

That decision took me from 30th position in the class to 5th, and eventually to 1st, within less than two years of staying with my mum. It set the foundation for the life I have now. LOCATION matters. For me, in 1991. It was leaving my father’s house and moving to my mother’s. It's why I MOVE! I MOVE WITHOUT EMOTIONS.

We don’t all look like what we've been through. If you are reading this today and you are in a place that's obviously holding you down, I hope this motivates you to know that it's possible for you. Your story is still being written, it’s not the end yet.

the strongest narrative a coin can have is store of value (SoV).

because unlike most crypto narratives, SoV tells you to do one thing: hold.

most coins are ultimately pvp. people buy because they think someone else will buy higher, then everyone tries to figure out when to rotate into the next thing. the narrative itself doesn’t give you a reason to keep the asset forever.

SoV is different. the holding is the point.

btc figured this out first. zec is the only other coin that has passed the SoV smell test over a long enough period of time.

and i think the important part is that you can’t just manufacture this narrative today. you need history. you need people telling the same story for years, through multiple cycles, while the coin continues to exist.

that’s the lindy part. you can't fake time.

if you launch a new “store of value” coin tomorrow, you still need to survive another 10 years before anyone can really believe you. most coins won’t make it that long.

but some memes are much stronger than others.

once enough people believe an asset is something worth holding, collecting and not selling, price itself reinforces the narrative. it starts behaving more like a scarce collectible than a normal trade.

like a vintage pokemon card, except globally liquid.

zec is extremley unique because it becomes more "fundamentally sound" as price goes up. a higher price increase the value of the shielded pool, which results in stronger privacy. stronger privacy attracts new users, which increases price.

zec still sits at ~1% the market cap of btc. higher price helps support the narrative that zec is an alternate SoV to btc. privacy and quantum are issues people will continue to care about. price reinforces the narrative as it hits escape velocity.

the % of shielded zec is approaching new highs. when the fundamentals support the narrative, and price starts moving in your favor, you pile into the trade. you have to go for the jugular. it takes courage to be a pig.

MY VISIT TO PORT HARCOURT

Yesterday, after attending Daily Times at 100th in Abuja, I travelled to Port Harcourt for a rousing reception from our party members, led by our Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs. The leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is to attend the NDC Obi-Talks, a Port Harcourt Town Hall.

The town hall provided an opportunity for an open and engaging conversation with the people. Our questions and answers centered on issues that directly affect the lives of Nigerians, including jobs, healthcare, education, security, and economic opportunity.

I reiterated my commitment to investing in the three critical areas that accelerate the development of every nation: education, healthcare, and pulling our people out of poverty.

We examined the experiences of countries that once faced challenges similar to those confronting Nigeria today, and how competent, purposeful, and compassionate leadership transformed their fortunes.

From Bangladesh and its remarkable progress in rice production, to Indonesia and the growth of its SMEs, and India’s efforts at pulling millions of its citizens out of poverty, the lesson is clear: countries succeed when leadership is competent, accountable, focused, and committed to the welfare of the people.

My greatest elation today came from the renewed commitment I saw among the good people of Rivers State to participate massively in the 2027 elections and, more importantly, to ensure that their votes are counted and the people’s mandate is respected.

Let it be recorded that this time around, the people of Rivers State will vote, and their votes MUST count.

Only leaders who emerge from a free, fair, and credible electoral process can truly be called Excellencies. Rivers State can and should set the pace for excellent, free, fair, and credible elections in 2027.

I sincerely thank our Vice Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; our host and Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Barr. A few days ago, Dr. Von Batten received unsolicited offers of $3 million, along with an invitation to a confidential meeting in London, from a highly placed individual whom we have been informed is connected to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT). We believe these offers were an attempt to persuade Dr. Von Batten to end our campaign concerning President #Tinubu’s alleged heroin-trafficking records.

Dr. Von Batten refused the offers, immediately preserved copies of the exchanges, and contacted members of former Nigerian Vice President @atiku’s campaign to determine the nature of the individual’s relationship with President #Tinubu. Shortly after the refusals, a smear campaign against Dr. Von Batten began. We will be providing the $3 million offer and related communications to the our friends at @TheJusticeDept and @FBI to protect our reputation and allow the appropriate authorities to review the matter.

We have a simple message for President Bola #Tinubu, the @OfficialAPCNg, and their associates: Thank you for the offer, but no thanks.

My organization, Educare, will be committing $100,000 within the next 18 months toward academic research exclusively in Nigeria. We will identify and partner with some universities to deliver the outcomes.

We have identified numerous challenges in the Nigerian education sector. However, our first investment will focus on the development and psychometric standardization of school exams, with critical thinking as a core component.

This initiative will span primary, secondary, and tertiary education, significantly improving the quality of learning outcomes in the country.

It is time to start creating a true Nigerian education system that will move our society forward.

A lot of people know about the problems in Nigeria; it is time we start committing to solving them with meaningful research investments.

PRESIDENT TINUBU GOES ON HOLIDAY AGAIN

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has once again left Nigeria for another holiday, this time beginning a three-week vacation in Europe.

Nigeria is in deep crisis. Nigerians can barely afford food and transportation. Insecurity is ravaging communities, and thousands of children are unable to access education because of insecurity.

Just days ago, about 600 Nigerians, predominantly women, children, and the elderly, were reportedly abducted during Juma’at prayers in Niger State.

Yet, at this critical moment, the President has left the country for another holiday.

According to reports, government expenditure on presidential trips and related travel expenses between June 2023 and April 2026 amounted to about ₦37.64 billion, with the President spending approximately 261 days outside Nigeria.

Meanwhile, only ₦36 million was reportedly released to the Federal Ministry of Health in 2025, despite a capital allocation of ₦218 billion, in a country of over 230 million people.

This is the calamity befalling our country today.

A government that can spend tens of billions on presidential travel while critical sectors remain starved of funds, and Nigerians are asked to endure worsening hardship, must not be allowed to continue.

Leadership is about priorities.

When citizens cannot feed their families, move safely, access healthcare, send their children to school, or sleep peacefully in their homes, the President should be more concerned about fixing the country than repeatedly leaving it.

I look forward to a Nigeria where our President can vacation in Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Cross River State, Bauchi, Ebonyi, and many other destinations across our country.

The President of Nigeria should be the chief marketer of Nigeria as a tourism destination, as other comparable countries do.

Imagine the economic possibilities if our leaders, celebrities, business communities, and citizens travelled within Nigeria more frequently.

Tourism creates jobs. It supports hospitality, transportation, agriculture, entertainment, crafts, and small businesses. It brings investment and foreign exchange and allows communities to benefit directly from their natural and cultural assets.

We cannot continue to export our wealth and import our pleasures while our own enormous potential remains neglected.

We deserve leadership that puts Nigeria first; leadership that cares and plans for a better Nigeria. That is the kind of leadership that the partnership between H.E. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and me will bring.
