Payout was rejected and it was my fault. i had a $380 winner that was closed on a news release that didnt appear on forexfactory but was on myfxbook. $380 was removed from the balance. Lesson? Check both news sites from now on, not just forexfactory. Will re request on 12th June
@TradeQuantiX had a rough 6 months. Hit 500k in funding at the last ATH. Never reached payout because i lost it all in that last DD. Risking too much /trade. Taught me to use monte carlo simulations, especially 10 and 20 block. Back funded 100k with my sights on the 500k i lost and then some..
Funded 100k @AlphaCapitalUK and up 8% on my
@QtFunded 100k instant funded account. Payout at ~121k(consistency rule)
Rough few months mentally after losing 500k in funding. Refined risk management is now in place
Goal is still max allocation on every reputable firm out there
To hold a trade to TP/SL without panic/sabotage, you need to have confidence that over time your system makes money. You gain that confidence through the system’s data. Then you don’t have issues executing your system to a T. Anyone that says psychology simply has no edge.
Define a signal, test whether it's predictive for what you want it to capture, and if it is, accept the weight of the risk that comes with trading it. No tricks, no layering on filters to make the equity curve look smoother in a backtest, no pretending you can isolate the good trades from the bad ones. You can't scam the market out of giving you return without taking risk.
The people who struggle are the ones treating risk as a bug to be fixed rather than the price of admission. They keep adding complexity trying to get the return without the pain, and they end up either curve-fitting or shifting the risk somewhere they can't see it until it blows up.
You're getting paid to be uncomfortable. That's the deal, right? You better get comfy with being uncomfy.

@LumiTraders 240 trades over 4 months is nowhere near large or long enough to validate an edge. Let’s forget about the sample size for a second and focus on just the 4 months part. You need to test your edge through multiple market regimes. 4 months isn’t even 1/4 of a single regime.

@StrayDogTrading Yeah check it out. We dipped below 10 last week on it. Only been that low 2 other times since inception.
1 look at the monthly chart sums that up
@TraderTrissie To answer this properly you would need to run a Monte Carlo on your dataset. Preferably a 20 block. Figure out what 99th percentile drawdown is. You could get away with sizing to accommodate a 70/90th percentile drawdown
