@mykola (I don't live in a town, and in a very hilly area, but I have taken to riding my ebike to sketching some of the surrounding towns when the weather allows, and that has been really really sweet.)

@mykola Huh. when have you last done that? riding your bike all over town from dusk till dawn of a summer day? That sounds like a pretty cool way to spend a day, no matter what age, as long as you can still bike.

@ahistoryinart I have always been a bit confused by what I perceive to be the disparateness of his still lives vs. his mythological scenes. I love the former but find the latter incredibly bland and boring, and can't find much to tie them together. As if made by two different artists.

@jholtillus Have you ever done any of Kimon Nicolaides' exercises maybe? To me it seems that while they are definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and I would not recommend him as standalone drawing instruction, a dose of his stuff could be just the thing for this specific problem

@visakanv I would be *very* curious about examples of ways how people used changing their vocabulary to change their own lives!

@visakanv Sometimes just different vibe of the same words can have that effect. There is "So many things!" the expression of overwhelm and there is "so many things!" as an expression of enthusiasm and abundance. See also "thing I *have* to do" vs "thing I *get* to do"

@mykola I did not sour on it, it just faded from my attention without being missed. But I do miss a lot of people, scattered now who knows where. Some on bsky, but somehow still not enough for me to latch on
