@ridhitshawarma@PointAfterCFB I don’t think he is trying to say cfb is bigger globally, he is just analogizing world fandom of soccer and American fandom of cfb. He is asserting the “diehard” non corporate fandom of Europe is not found in professional athletics, but college athetics in the U.S..
@AintIAP0nk@TheBirdist How, there is already Roosevelt island across the river that does this exact thing, I imagine you haven’t visited once though. It’s not like a golf course isn’t natural either, it allows the public to participate in golf without having to pay 200k for a country club.
@stonesgroyper@TomHulme79 They have served the public when they undoubtedly could’ve earned more and had more spare time in the private sector. They missed their children’s birthdays so the populous may have a better life. They deserve some respect for doing such.
@SimonLock74@Ned_Donovan How is that related. In this conversation not one person claimed there was a relation between membership in the house and class / style. It’s like reading a book on napoleonic history and complaining it doesn’t have illustrations- it’s not intended to.
@JorgeRdeAnda@EmpireEnjoyer3 I don’t think it is about a distaste of general artistic progress, more a distaste for the ugliness and blankness of modern art, if it possessed more color and grandiosity perhaps it would more appreciated.
@salami_in_offer@USembassyMadrid Don’t think it was ever framed to act like saints it was just shown to indicate how much we contribute to your economy. Investing in you doesn’t mean you lose- it means you win.
