@GraceMead16 While technology may replace certain niche sounds for specific uses, I doubt it will ever cause any instruments to go extinct within the scope of classical music. While current audio can emulate these sounds to a certain extent, the sounds of a live orchestra are much richer.

@jgrimsleyjmu I think technology is useful for teachers, but even more important for students, and that often a teacher needs to be able to introduce these tools for students to use themselves as opposed to just using them to teach a single point or lesson.

@GwynethTerry7 I think simple exposure in relevant scenarios in the classroom will help with this. I cannot tell you how many times my music theory teacher refused to use examples because they were not classical, and this is not the attitude to have.

@MatthewMee9 I am a firm believer that education will be stronger if it is fun for students, so I am very much in favor of utilizing popular music that students can connect with to teach them lessons about musicality or even very basic music theory.

@MatthewMee9 While I think there is a way to update copyright law to accommodate a changing music climate, I do not know exactly how to do so. The threshold between downright copying and using someone's work is blurry, and I do not know how to broadly address this fairly.

@JYagerline I think music technology should be taught concurrently with personal instrumental methods. A lot of the skills learned in music technology can be applied to make the process of playing an instrument more fun and more efficient, resulting in better musicians and students.
