Here is what we know about the effect of documented viral infections on risk of SBI in febrile infants < 60 days. Caveat: Less known about COVID, but data emerging. Without viral infection, risk of SBI ~12-13%. With viral infection, risk of SBI between 4-7% depending on virus.
