The first employee in #MNTwins history, Tom Mee, was born in St. Paul on this date in 1928.
He was the first of three generations of professional ballplayers.
Fun Story: Mee was playing townball for Redwood Falls and former major leaguer Hy Vandenberg was playing for Springfield. The two carpooled together from the cities and apparently Vandenberg sure enjoyed talking about himself on the drive out there. Mee homered off the former major leaguer in the first inning. It was reportedly a much quieter drive back to the cities. 🤣
