the search suggestions aren't really evidence of anything

autocomplete on kuaishou and douyin is built from what users type in. it's the same thing google does with its predictions, and google documents theirs openly, they even say predictions aren't assertions of facts.

so if thousands of fans search "敖尹 september return," the app starts suggesting "敖尹 september return." that's the fandom's own hope bouncing back at us, not a leak.

it's circular → fans search a rumor → autocomplete shows the rumor → fans treat autocomplete as proof of the rumor. easy trap, it really does look like a signal.

her own screenshot works against her a bit

look at the dates in that list: sept 8, sept 9, sept 10, sept 15, sept 16, sept 19. that's six different dates.

i might be wrong but wouldn't a real preheat converge on ONE date? that's kind of the point of a preheat. six competing dates reads more like people guessing separately.

i think this might be a translation thing. it means clickbait content farm, they chase whatever's trending. and it shows, one account posted four videos in eight minutes (23:23, 23:26, 23:29, 23:31). another one is a workplace advice account posting about an otome game lol. and the engagement is 4-18 likes. a paid campaign would have an amplification budget, these are dying on the vine.

also the video titles are literally questions, like "should he launch or is this over?" people with actual info don't ask.

and the ONE video with real traction (1575 likes) is about how the hot search dropped from #1 to #30 in ten minutes. so her own screenshots document the crash she leaves out when she cites "yesterday's hot search." i don't think she noticed, it's easy to miss when you're excited.

so just to have you informed, this could be your hopium and it's okay, but i wanted to give some clarification on the matter.
