A judge has dismissed the second-degree mu*der charge against Aaron Spencer, a father and Republican nominee for Lonoke County Sheriff in Arkansas, who was preparing to go on trial for killing the man accused of r*ping his 14-year-old daughter.

The case was dropped after law enforcement lost a dash camera memory card from Michael Fosler’s truck that may have captured the October 8, 2024, shooting.

Spencer had woken up to find his daughter missing, located her in Fosler’s vehicle, pursued and forced the truck off the road, then allegedly shot the 67-year-old during a confrontation.
