Still think we should star at all new builds having to have PV installed, if labour do achieve the 350000 new homes a year that's a lot more coverage than even loads of mega solar farms can do

💧Thames Water have asked OFWAT if they can raise bills by somewhere between 44% and 56%.

💷 Balance this with the fact that in March, Thames Water paid out £158m worth of shareholder dividends, large bonuses to senior management this week - all being handed out despite over £15bn of debt.

🤢 350 major pollution incidents last year alone. Thousands of hours of sewage dumping into local waterways.

❗️Comments from Thames Water this week also highligh that without some changes they are likely to run out of cash within 12 months.
An uncontrolled collapse would be disastrous.

As I mentioned during the election, the luxury of the debate about privatisation might not be one the government has when it comes to Thames Water.

Treasury rules would allow a special administration with no bailouts required. We will have to wait and see how what happens.

🧪 Locally, I am engaging with Water Rangers in regard to ongoing monitoring of the state of the local water. More on that in a few weeks.
