Mate, Charles knew about the penalty before Lewis did.

Ferrari told Charles he was 5.1s behind a driver with a 5s penalty, then only informed Lewis afterwards.

This wasn’t about team orders it was about maximizing points.

Ferrari haven’t exactly been fighting for Drivers Championships in recent decades, so strategy mistakes like this are exactly why fans are frustrated and can’t be compared to anything in the past!
