@martindonadieu@levelsio To the point where its better to pay people 2-3x because they can often times do 10-20x the work if incentivized and smart/resourceful
@thsottiaux@sflorimm The plugin is somewhat unreliable I’ve found (sessions will stall and get lost). But with two simple custom scripts (codex execute and resume), it’s been working near perfect! Is there anyway to contribute these and see if it could be valuable for updating the plugin?
@NateSilver538 Needs super explicit guidance and codebase knowledge to work well and multiple layers of redundancy and checks, but it can definitely be used well, just requires a lot of scaffolding
@ZssBecker It definitely makes you much faster but increases risk exponentially. You still need a robust pipeline for AI-written code and human review, no way around it.
@austingriffith Same vibes, use the smaller 35B quant in subagents, thats pretty much all we can do for now at 128GB. Sadly though even GLM5 cloud model which is pretty much the closest competitor to Sonnet/Opus still doesn't orchestrate quite as well..... Anthropic still has a lead here
@steipete@jchip@openclaw@AlexFinn I've noticed that even though Chinese models can code pretty close to Claude, when it comes to orchestration and toolcalling its still better to pay up and go with at least a Sonnet.... has made my life a lot easier
@mattpocockuk Not insisting or pushing back enough in the right spots, not leveraging model/product providers against one another (i.e coderabbit vs greptile vs opus vs codex)
Another consideration is that smaller and more agile/personalized software providers can now iterate very quickly and connect sources of truth and bespoke software much better than large orgs, so even though customers aren't managing most of the time, they do like tailored solutions made possible now by AI.
@ZssBecker Opus is eager and Codex is good on high for long running task - use both together honestly complement very well.
Opus initial plan (more verbose and organized) > Codex to point out gaps, either to implement, then Codex to review usually.
