I’m in agreement w/ this take regarding the Sepp situation. But have you discussed the sh!t show that TJV would’ve been if Sepp WASN’T in the GC? Primoz & Jonas would’ve been beating the snot out of each other to prove to mngnt that they were the undisputed leader of Jumbo!

The aim of Jumbo Visma is to become the first (male) team to win all three Grand Tours in a single season.

They couldn't have envisaged that the man who has helped them win their last 6 would now be in the leader's jersey, and in with a great chance of winning it himself.

It's a conundrum, but I hope they think about their decisions from a human point of view as much as a ticking the box point of view.

Sepp strikes me as the sort of person who wouldn't have a gripe with anyone if he doesn't win, even if he has the legs to. On the other side, I think there would be a seismic shift in public perception of the team if Sepp didn't win this race, if he has the legs to do so.

What greater gift to give your most valued helper than help him to a deserved win of a Grand Tour of his own? And what better way to ensure his continued dedication to the team's future goals?
