For any manager or leader, helping employees communicate what they want out of their careers and helping coach them through the skill gaps is critical to retaining and growing great talent.
@vvanedwards Use this at the beginning of every client conversation. Then ask how's your INSERT DAY going?
I find the trick, though, is when they usually ask that same question back -- I actually answer how my day is going. It allows everyone just to be real and relatable.
@randomrecruiter@businessbarista Likewise on losing my father. On Death and Dying by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and On Grief and Grieving by David Kessler were both helpful to me going through the grief journey.
Hey @SouthwestAir
My original flight was CMH > DEN > PDX. Arriving at 11 AM.
I was rebooked at 10 PM last night. Now my flight is CMH > PHX > LBG > OAK > PDX. Arriving at 5 PM.
Now my fight is dealing with technical issues.
Can you at least ask next time before you rebook me? This is absolutely ridiculous.
@Camp4 This is exactly what I need to hear right now and guidance from therapy. Being in a relationship is a choice and some seasons are easier than others.

2. Companies must be will to implement system to protect employee time off"
- @SimoneStolzoff
What else would you add?
1. Direction > Perfect Job
2. Start sooner than you think
3. Don’t compromise on your top priorities
4. More conversations = more opportunities
5. People are more willing to help than you think
Hope that's helpful.
Make growing your career a priority today.

5. Master the skills of interviewing and negotiation for your ideal role
Career development can be hard but you can make it FUN.
If you want to advance in your career, stop.
Do these 5 things:
