Time to make all those hours you spend playing Danfo Run count! 🚀
Soon, you’ll be able to play as a Chowdeck rider, collect vouchers on the road, grab Chowdeck power-ups and convert your coins to Chowscore.
You'll also be able to play the Danfo Run game while waiting for your order!
Exciting things are coming to the road.
Stayyyy tuned! 🤭💚
I kinda feel bad for all those Nigerian / African gaming studios that spent years building and seeing a "random person" kick it out of the park.
They either spent years trying to make the perfect game, or assumed GTA 6 taking forever to launch made it justifiable to take forever to Launch.
They insisted I did not understand.
Or thought copying Angry Birds and calling it "Angry Ọkụkọ" made it local and unique.
I don't know much about gaming but I know 3 things.
1. Don't take forever to lunch.
2. Games are about game play, not graphic fidelity.
3. The success of a game as with music is kinda unknown. So you rapidly iterate and allow time and chance takes care of the rest.
Keep building. Keep shipping. The future is still unknown.
Great interview! A few thoughts:
1. She should please chill out on the valuation talk and keep building. The most important thing at this stage is to sustain momentum and keep growth steady. Revenue can dry up at any time if things are not managed well. Data is the ultimate play. The realistic city mapping thing is a serious angle.
2. Four cofounders may sometimes make decision-making difficult. It is always better to have an odd number than an even one.
3. Agents providing feedback from live Twitter commentary is interesting. Is she using Claude Ultracode? I would love for people like @otoide_a, @Ace_KYD, @FourEyedWiz, and others with deep gaming experience to have a deep technical interview with her and her team to understand their stack and methodology. She can even teach others and learn from others in the process. That is how the tech community gets involved.
4. Security and compliance may become a major headache as potentially shady partnerships creep in. That crypto guy did it openly; others will be more subtle in their scamming within the game. This is the biggest risk at the moment, and that is where they would need a lot of help.
5. They need serious moderation and vetting of partnerships and adverts to prevent brand or reputational damage. I am already seeing prostitution adverts there, and there are complaints of sexual harassment.
The metrics used in Judging games is not something discussed heavily especially in our climes where huge gaming platforms aren't known.
Also, those who play in this sector will probably have noticed, but there's something else they're looking out for.
Also, Arc Raiders has lost users. All for one single reason, maintaining the interest of users for the "long term" is super super difficult in that world, especially for open world games.
