Hardcore BYU fan, fiercely loyal to Rip City and my Seahawks. I’m married with kids. I love living in the PNW. I’m not interested in messages, thank you
@BYUSportsNation The best thing would be increased exposure and opportunities for BYU and the Big 12. Teams would get an opportunity to “prove it” on the field as opposed to relying primarily on the opinions of a committee. Worst thing would be a diluted regular season.
@BYUSportsNation It’s a great opportunity to showcase the electric atmosphere that exists in Provo on game day and build the BYU brand. Cougar Nation has the best fans in the world we need to take advantage of these opportunities to show it- let’s go!
@Victoriawrites2@deseretnoise Depends on what you feel like: BBQ-Bam Bam’s, Burgers- Burgers Supreme (Pastrami burger is my favorite), Salad/Healthy-Zupas, Mexican-Cafe Rio (Pork Salad), Very hungry and like Meat- Tucanos (Churrasco and Guarana to drink)
@travelingflying I don’t agree with this. I think our most important identity is children of God. To our Heavenly Father it doesn’t matter what race we are. He sees our spirit and our potential. I hope you will change your stance on this.
@BYUSportsNation They’ve been dominant at controlling the line of scrimmage. They need to clean up some of the penalties but are mostly playing clean football and executing at a high level. If they stay hungry and humble this looks like a playoff team.
@D_BLACK19 Wow this stirred the pot🤣. I agree that giving it attention is giving the ignorant a platform. We should forgive and move on. I’d like to not be mocked about my religion every time I go to opposing stadiums but maybe turning the other cheek is the best way. Thank you 💙
my final thoughts for now: there are over 1,500 colorado state students who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
many of them were in attendance against BYU this weekend. this isn’t about saving the cougars.
this is about valuing human beings.
@Victoriawrites2@Mormonger I’m sure that was surprising for them and they may need some time to process. This may be part of your journey to strengthen your faith. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Matthew 19:29. Prayers for you and that your family’s heart will soften.
Until there are real repercussions for Universities for derogatory chants by fans towards BYU and its religion, this isn’t going to stop
For some reason, in a world with an overabundance of political correctness, derogatory religious chants about “Mormons” are still socially acceptable. It’s unreal!
A cut-and-paste apology and promise that it isn’t who we are and we’ll do better isn’t good enough. It’s disingenuous and quite frankly insulting.
ACTUALLY STOP DOING IT!
ELDER BEDNAR JUST EXPLAINED THE CHURCH’S NEW SACRAMENT CHANGES… AGAIN🔥
The Church has shortened Sunday classes to just 25 minutes.
You might assume that means teachers now need to move faster, cut discussion, and squeeze as much material as possible into every minute.
But Elder David A. Bednar just taught almost the opposite:
Don’t rush.
During the September 13 Utah Area YSA devotional at the BYU Marriott Center, Elder Bednar didn’t give a conventional talk. Instead, he brought young adults onto the stage, opened the scriptures, asked questions, allowed silence, and let them discover spiritual patterns for themselves.
Then near the end he said something that puts the entire experience into context:
“We have a pattern now for learning on the Sabbath day in shorter time periods.”
That line completely changed how I see these changes.
This is not simply about cutting class time.
It is about changing how we learn from God.
And there is an important sacrament connection here.
When Elder Bednar previously explained the new Sunday pattern, he emphasized that we cannot expect the Church to provide everything we need spiritually. We are expected to study throughout the week, receive revelation personally, and come to Church prepared.
But we are not just preparing to participate in a class.
We are preparing to partake of the sacrament. 🙏
We come having already prayed, studied, repented, listened to the Holy Ghost, and walked with Christ throughout the week. Then we renew our covenants and continue learning together.
One of the most fascinating parts of this devotional was watching what Elder Bednar did when people asked him direct questions.
He didn’t always simply give them the answer.
Sometimes he redirected the question. Sometimes he let another person respond. Sometimes he allowed silence.
Why?
Because the Apostle was demonstrating something profound:
The goal is not merely to receive answers from a teacher. It is to learn how to receive revelation from God.
Sister Bednar even shared a powerful experience from years ago at Ricks College where she learned that sometimes the answer does not come before we act.
Sometimes we step forward in faith—and the Lord gives us what we need as we go.
“Go ye.”
Open your mouth.
Trust the Lord.
And perhaps that is exactly what these changes are asking of us.
Elder Bednar ended with a powerful testimony that the Restoration is ongoing and will continue until Jesus Christ comes again.
I believe that Restoration is glorious and ongoing.
And I believe Christ is inviting us into a closer relationship with Him—to hear His voice more clearly, receive revelation personally, and come to the sacrament already walking with Him.
🔥 This is one of the most fascinating explanations of the new Sunday pattern I’ve seen yet.
What have you noticed since the new schedule began? Has your Sunday experience changed?

So much love and respect for BYU @kalanifsitake@Pouha91 and the people of Provo.
From the minute we parked, it was “Welcome to Provo,” “Good luck today,” “Go Cats.” People offered us food and drinks from their tailgates. Inside the stadium, same thing even ice cream at 2nd quarter . And their crowd was electric
I sat in ADA seating with my father in law and he was wearing his Fifita #1 jersey. People constantly checked on him and treated him with nothing but respect, even when Arizona made a play. They probably thought i was his care giver, lol.
Made me think, this is what real competition should look like. Welcome people into your home, treat them with respect and grace, then when the ball is kicked off, try to knock each other’s heads off.
We hosted our first league games Sunday , six games from 9AM–7PM. I told our staff: make everyone feel welcome. If someone genuinely can’t pay at the door, let them in. Let them watch their kid.
If we want to change the culture at the high school and college level, it starts in youth .
And I don’t think it’s a coincidence faith is at the center of BYU’s culture. Jesus welcomed everyone to His table.
Compete hard. Cheer loud. Want to win BAD. But still love people.
Appreciate the love , Provo.
@stoolpresidente@MACSports I did notice that Michigan dropped out of the top 25 after that “fair and square win.” They won the game under what rational people would say were unusual and questionable circumstances. Let’s not pretend that didn’t happen and we wouldn’t do the same thing if it were our team.
BREAKING: Western Michigan has submitted formal appeals to the NCAA FBS Oversight Committee and the College Football Playoff to be recognized as the winner of their game vs. Michigan.
The MAC commissioner states, “After further study and investigation, it is now evident that replay protocol was not properly followed in determining whether time remained.”
@stackerco The ordinance contains covenants to always remember the Savior and keep his commandments. As with the baptismal covenant the Holy Ghost actually purifies us of sin. Our willingness to submit to God and keep those covenants enable the Holy Ghost to sanctify us.
“We’ll have 2 clocks sir?”
“Yes soldier. One the fans, coaches, players and announcers can see…and no one only 2 people can see”
“Which on will we use sir?”
“No one knows”
