@elonmusk You are flattening the issue, and you know it.
Empathy seems hard. So, let’s use a Tesla example:
Drivers cause accidents everyday, out of proportion to Teslas. Once a Tesla driver does, someone writes something mean they always felt against Teslas. Shouldn’t we call that out?
@liorsela Each point makes practical sense.
Yes, fleet discount for FSD is a good idea although, we need a way to define a true fleet.
Conceptually, today:
* FSD belongs to Car (not Driver)
* Car may permit Drivers
* Driver may drive Cars
* Drivers may not be related to Purchaser
@aelluswamy@elonmusk@kylaschwaberow For as long as a car has pedals and a steering wheel, and a driver is required to “supervise” the drive, it would be a circuitous absurdity to require the manufacturer to program the car to bypass a driver’s override.
A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son.
His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival.
Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
@satyanadella Yes, ecosystem beats model.
But the real ecosystem is not Office workflows. It is compute, data, energy, distribution, robotics, and real-world feedback.
Also, watch out OpenAI. This reads like an early signal of Microsoft’s drift toward MAI and its own sovereign AI stack.
@Tesla On FSD v14.3.3, I now only intervene due to severe visibility issues (eg: semi truck passing in heavy rain) or just last mile preferences (mostly parking).
My max streak is 573 Km in the last 2000 Km of travels in 7 days.
Thank you. The important part is zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. Best way to put money in someone’s pocket is to not take it out in the first place. Bottom half is only 3% of total tax revenue. But it’s very meaningful to that person. Zero it out.
@elonmusk When your FSD produces an absurd outcome, even in < 1% of cases, you don’t just celebrate the best drives and bury the failures.
You oversample the edge cases.
You understand this in engineering. But you seem strangely slow to apply the same discipline to human systems.
Can’t forget that retail investors, @elonmusk’s ‘best pals,’ would have been bought out of the Model3/Y surges, had he not failed to take $TSLA private just prior.
Now, in the build up to FSD, RoboTaxi & Optimus surges: Is Space XAi/Tesla merger planned to bring us net benefit?
The human-perceived RGB is image 1 and the Tesla AI photon count reconstruction is image 2.
This is why Tesla FSD can see so well at night or through extreme glare.
