@DylanAbruscato Years ago Nikita pitched me Yelp for humans. I asked if he had thought about what his mom’s review was going to look like after people got butt hurt from their reviews. Felt like the conversation ended abruptly.
Thank you for putting this together. There is still a lot to concern about air quality and toxicity that was not addressed. When asked about the cleaning of parks, etc by the mother the panel was crickets, including you, our Senator. The health issue is clearly on the mind of all. You were quick to mention that you would sue the Trump Admin if he takes away FEMA. But the reality is you aren’t doing what we need you to do right now to help us determine the quality of the air, streets, neighborshoods and homes that we inhabit. Can you please help us determine the safety of our neighborhood today?

Devastated but grateful. The Eaton Canyon fire spared our home, but the smoke and soot left it unlivable for years to come.
@OriginalBigRagu@LosAngeles_Scan Joe I’m so sorry but I’m just seeing this. Did your home make it? Please tell me it did. I was going so hard it was difficult for me to check back after post. I’m below NY Drive and here to chat IRL if you need.
I’m so sorry for your anger, I get it. I live a few blocks south of NY Drive, North of Washington, between Lake and Hill. Went above NY Drive up Holliston below Mendocino first in my neighbors truck then via my Vespa of all things. Then checked on friends on the East side of the golf course. Total chaos, no wind but the homes on that side are close to each other so they would eventually catch. When the water ran out the few FD in the area bailed and left resident and people who were able to get up to bucket water from pools to finish putting out the house fires next to their intact homes. Would dart up to help then race back to check on my house and block for spot fires and looters which there were so many of. This was on Weds. Thursday am went up NY Drive but it was blocked until just passed Allen so I went up past Prime Pizza to check on friends homes. Went all the way up stopping to check addresses for friends, stomping on bushes with my Chuck Taylor’s where I could and seemed helpful to a structure, saw a beautiful artist friend whose house made it in Homewood and we cried, he stayed behind and saved his home and his neighbors to the left a right. I kept going and more of the same. Sat in the Aldis parking lot, talked with a photog from Pasadena Now, cried some more. I knew when I left down Lake past Woodbury I would have a hard time getting back up because more services were arriving and would start blocking more off but I had to check on my home, my block, my neighbors properties who had left.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’m not what you think I am. I’m just a husband, father and neighbor who cares deeply for my community. I know my lived experience and what I did and saw.
I hope you find the same peace I so desperately need as well. If there is anything I can do to help you or friends in this area DM me and I will be there for you and them. Take care.
@JWheelertv@LAScanner@NBCLA My family has the best of memories from our time there. Unimaginable to see it like this. Long live Altadena. Greatest town in the world. I love you.
@nikitabier@BrianNorgard@bookprotectors What happens when power/cell down? This is when you really need it. This looks like a Bougie Nordstrom level experience when what you really need is Seal Team 6 security. Currently in Altadena and saw how this would have failed.
I live down the street from his spot was just at his party before the holidays. People came from all over socal to attend. Beloved human, his hats are world class. You would have hated my outfit but loved everyone else’s. The whole strip where his shop was is gone. Local hardware store, local bike shop, printers, new to the strip Bernee restaurant from the owners of All Time in Los Feliz who cooked for his party. All top notch beautiful people who took the craft to the next level. Thank you for making your followers aware. Long live Altadena.
