Loved the Siegfried last night at the Konzerthaus in Dortmund with Rotterdam Phil, YNS and a fantastic cast. Loved it.

Last week, I played the Belvedere competition round in Düsseldorf - 18 singers, 1 aria each. Today, I played the Neue Stimmen competition round in Frankfurt - 17 singers, 2 arias each but had to quickly talk through/rehearse 5 arias per singer 🤯

🤓 One of my hobbies: making practice recordings for singers. It’s fun to get a glimpse of a new work like Kavalier & Clay (Bates) and Of One Blood (Dean) or complicated roles in Strauss operas like Schweigsame Frau. Now: Of Mice and Men by Carlisle Floyd.
