MOVE THE PIN-BATTLE MODE! Students (1 or 2 on each side) battle each other to move the pin towards the other team’s side and knock it down on the last spot to win. Pin starts on white spot. Used for underhand throwing here but can be utilized with plenty of skills! #PhysEd
Just the 5th winner this year, of the Intercontinental Behavior Championship belt! I award this to students who I catch going out of their way to help others during class. He’ll get a phone call home later :). It’s the little things that all add up to your culture and climate :).
@deterball 3rd-5th but younger grades can do it as well. For them, I add in a 6 foot and 5 foot hoop as additional choices, so everyone can be successful.
BOARDGAME BASKETBALL !!!!
Watch the video for my set up and rules. My students lose their marbles over this super engaging, competitive team activity working on the set shot. #physed
!!! CIRCLEBALL !!!
One of my students’ favorite striking activities and great lead up to spikeball and balloon/paddle striking. Watch the video for my rules and gym set-up. If a student gets scored on, they simply move to another court, wait for their turn, and serve!
MAGIC CLUB
Leveled, self throwing and catching warm up that so many of us use. Watch until the end and pause to see my set up for 4th and 5th grades. This paired perfectly with “Make it Take it” afterwards, a partner throwing and catching activity (thus the spots).
MONSTER HOUSE!!!
The perfect activity for today. My students absolutely love this tagging game. Take a look/listen to the video for how I organize it. A big thanks to @PESchoolYT for sharing the original! #PhysEd
MONSTER HOUSE!! Someone tag the originator please, I can’t remember. Ss (groups of 2-3) take turns trying to steal candy/bean bag from the monsters w/out being tagged. The 2 groups w/ most candy become monsters in next rd. My students loooooooved this one. #PhysEd
@CoachCosgrove_ Basically Line Tag (all players, including tagger(s) must stay on floor lines) but if you get tagged, freeze and do the 6-7 hand gesture and call out “6-7!”. Classmate must come by dab you up to get you back in. Nothing incredibly creative but they were freaking out!!!
4 teams must travel across the gym, w/out touching the floor, using only their team’s equip. 1st team to get every player to the opposite mat wins. Middle mat is checkpoint that all can use
@Ajhicks11 There are 2 sets of twin taggers who must keep their feet in their hoop. All other kids are twins on “twin scooters”. If tagged, turn scooter over and head over to bleachers. The pair must transfer a ball from one hoop to another, without touching it (using speed stack cups).
