@DavisJKyle These covenants are anti-competitive but it also substantially reduces the value of the property they want to sell because it’s essentially become worthless to any other prospective commercial tenant. Still worth the trade off for Canadian Tire but it’s not 100% cost-free.
@DerekHuffSB@Lassimak@MichaelHogueDMN@afptax It seems like WalletHub posted two different studies within a few weeks of each other with wildly different results:

@tadgh_dc These are just LCA applications with the DOL. It’s highly unlikely that these petitions be approved by USCIS once an I-129 is filed; due to the low salary and non-skilled position. The vast majority of these junk LCA applications never translate into an approved H-1B visa.
@ShaziGoalie FIFA normally sets concession prices for World Cup games but Atlanta is an exception because MB Stadium and Falcons owner Arthur Blank made affordable concession prices a condition of the contract with FIFA. It’s a longstanding tradition he’s maintained for NFL games there.
@PureWander1ust Separatism is the obvious answer to most but the opening of the St.Lawrence Seaway and the signing of the Auto Pact with the US are also two big reasons why Southern Ontario grew faster.
@guyfelicella I’m a Canadian living in the US and Zelle generally works just as well as these days. Though I feel the etransfer system is still better a bit better overall. One of the truly rare examples of a 🇨🇦 oligopoly actually helping rather than hurting consumers.
@blockhim2026 I strongly disagree, the city of New York desperately needs more funding for Patriot Interceptors, 5th generation fighters, SSNs, and ISR systems to keep pace with the rapid military buildups in Miami and Dallas-Fort Worth
@Cappy_Nate The engineering requirements for supersonic aircraft make them infeasible as commercial airliners: narrow fuselage, expensive heat resistant materials, extensive maintenance requirements. Someone with the means can save a comparable amount of time by flying private
@leonopteryz @VoteHub Constitutional amendments in VA require a legislative vote before and after an election. The court ruled that this amendment was invalid because the first legislative vote occurred after early voting started; and therefore didn’t meet the requirement to be held before an election
@Roidedballs Natural conservation was originally a right wing cause of conservatives and traditionalists. Teddy Roosevelt being a prime example. The Left at the time considered conservation to be a bourgeois distraction which didn’t benefit the poor and working class.
@DerekPederson3@razibkhan I don’t like partisan redistricting and believe districts should be drawn by an independent non-partisan commission. That being said, the Republicans initiated the recent redistricting war so they can’t be sad or upset if Democrats choose to respond tit for tat.
@the_culturist_ Triumphal arches should be reserved solely for commemorating and depicting major military victories. As it was the tradition in ancient Rome and later briefly revived in the Napoleonic era.
@RexhaRexhaRexha My guess is that he likely took on a bunch of low interest commercial debt in 2020-2022 is now facing a debt maturity wall. He now has the choice of either exiting or face re-financing at the double the interest rate.
@DrCameronMurray A decrease in demand due to slower population growth is the primary factor. But rental supply has also increased because developers pivoted to building purpose built rentals after the condo market collapsed. The HST exemption & cheap financing from CMHC MLI Select also helped.
@RichardHanania Trump cut his teeth doing real estate in an era where the mafia had a stranglehold on construction in NYC. To this day it informs his relations with other leaders. He respects strength and aggression. Iran’s will to fight and refusal to back down probably won his respect.
