We've worked with the policing community for many years to hone a solution that is easy to use, highly flexible, cloud based, able to work offline, and enables forces to design their own processes. It's called PoliceBox, see our website https://t.co/di0EHqRvK6
NEW: I’m not sure people fully appreciate how dire the US life expectancy / mortality situation has got.

And some utterly damning charts.
1) at *every* point on the income distribution, Americans live shorter lives than the English.
Excellent update on #MAIT yesterday with our C&C supplier on testing & acceptance. Also met with @metpoliceuk who are on their #MAIT journey.
Are you involved in a control room? This interview by @BritishAPCO with @hertsfirechief is a must read! https://t.co/C2BxJQJUEG
Nice video - imagine if police forces did this, joining together data silos, whilst simplifying the workload of IT departments. Mulesoft are one of a growing range of integration platform providers.

If you work on the front line in policing, what are your mobile data pain points? How could your job be made easier? We're always keen to hear about your experiences so we can feed into our ongoing development of PoliceBox.
@Ian___Bell@b33t16@techUK@Rachel0404 @Police_ICT Great article, very relevant to policing too. Interoperability with open standards are key to agility.
#PoliceDigitalSummit2021 Caroline made a great point about having to re-enter information multiple times. PoliceBox has the capability built-in to reuse information between tasks - it's part of our basic functionality.
#PoliceDigitalSummit2021 great follow up from #wecops last night. One important point - the best solution does not have to be more expensive. New technologies like cloud offer huge potential for improvement in user experience and cost effectiveness.
This is a great musical metaphor for fragmented, non-optimised front line apps. They do a fantastic job with what they have but it would be much easier and quicker to use a piano.

@transferredcop@DC_Defective @DetectiveHelen @WeCops It makes more sense to separate out the integration as a separate service in its own right (iPaaS). This makes it much easier to put in newer, better software, and forces can easily see and manage where all their data is going.
@transferredcop@DC_Defective @DetectiveHelen @WeCops A big barrier to interoperability is that dominant vendors (like RMS providers) also take on the integration role to connect other systems. This makes it hard for innovative products to enter the market, as there is no incentive for existing suppliers to integrate with them.
@AnonyPlod @WeCops It's early days as cloud delivery is only just gaining acceptance but we are in some discussions. We are also working with private sector dealing with insurance fraud etc.
@DannoReynolds @GorillaoJustice @WeCops Absolutely. Design needs to be iterative. A one off development is probably out of date by the time it is delivered. Better to have highly configurable products which can be updated quickly without going back to the vendor.
@Ian___Bell @ACCBenSnuggs APIs are a good stepping stone but the missing link is an integration platform to join them together and orchestrate the flow of data.
@AnonyPlod @WeCops Thanks for the follow! We've got a new release coming out shortly with a refreshed user interface, works across Windows, Android, iOS, Chrome and even Samsung Dex! (and it works offline as well as online)
