A 68-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man occupying the third-party vehicle were transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis with serious injuries.
The driver, Laloyd L. Hamilton III, 32, was transported to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro for evaluation. A search of the suspect’s vehicle resulted in the recovery of narcotics including illegal marijuana, pills, and an unknown liquid substance.
Hamilton is currently being held in the Poinsett County Detention Center on the following charges: Felony Fleeing, second-degree Battery, Criminal Mischief, Possession with Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Hazardous Driving, and Driving While Intoxicated.
A deck collapses under several U.S. Marshals as they serve an arrest warrant on a convicted sex offender. The offender was taken into custody later that day and all of the Marshals are expected to make a full recovery.

A Police Chase in Oklahoma City ends less than 30 seconds after it begins when the suspect crashes in spectacular fashion.
On August 8, 2026, Oklahoma City Police initiated a traffic stop after observing a red Dodge Challenger performing burnout donuts near Southwest 31st Street and Miller Avenue.
The Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, at which point it drove slowly onto Southwest 30th Street and came to a stop long enough for a female passenger to exit. The driver then accelerated away. The chase ended moments later at Southwest 30th Street and Agnew Avenue, where the driver failed to stop at two stop signs and collided with two other vehicles. The Challenger continued a short distance before rolling to a halt. Officers removed the driver, identified as 36-year-old Jaramy Yeats, from the wrecked car and took him into custody. Yeats was charged with eluding police officer, driving while license revoked, reckless driving, causing an accident resulting in injury, operating vehicle in accident without insurance, and failure to stop at stop sign. He also faced three outstanding felony warrants.
A relatively large human fires his dual wield pistols at a Police Sgt. before being shot in the exchange of gunfire. The suspect did survive this incident.
The Sgt. he was firing at was struck in the foot which required surgery.
A Texas State Trooper is shot in the arm and transported to the hospital by the DPS helicopter that recorded him getting shot back in February 2018.
The Trooper survived his injures. The suspect did not survive.

The Murder of New Mexico State Police Officer Darian Jarrott.
On February 4th, 2021, NMSP officer Darian Jarrott pulled over a white Chevy pickup on interstate 10 near mile marker 101 as a part of a Department of Homeland Security Investigation.
The driver, Omar Felix Cueva was under investigation by HSI for drug trafficking. HSI asked Darian's Sgt. if there would be available units to assist them with pulling over Cueva on I-10 if the opportunity came. Darian's Sgt. said there would be available units to assist on the 4th. Jarrotts Sgt. spoke with him about looking for a white Chevy pickup and if he saw it, to initiate a traffic stop but only if Jarrott created his own probable cause to stop Cueva and do a search of his vehicle. During the traffic stop Cueva fired at Officer Jarrott with a short barrel rifle. Jarrott was struck and killed by gunfire, being shot in the back of the head execution style from Cueva.
A pursuit was initiated not long after. Multiple agencies chased Cueva for nearly 40 miles. A Las Cruces police officer successfully utilized a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT). Cueva fired at the Las Cruces Officer who is wounded in the exchange but survives. The Officer gets up and takes care of Cueva.
The shooting of a Texas State Trooper that occurred on March 22, 2006. Despite being hit multiple times, the Trooper survived his injuries and his bulletproof vest helped save his life. Both suspects were later caught after they wrecked their truck during the chase.
