Unexpected advantages of developing personal brand that I have experienced..
Basically, it's one - I became very resourceful. I have access not just to my network, but also to the network of my followers. And you remember the theory of 7 handshakes? (it's actually 4,5)

5. I hang out at some closed events because I'm considered 'micro influencer'
6. Sometimes it gives you extra credit when you get introduced to some important people
7. I get help from followers with some very weird problems (for example, when my passport was stolen)

The positive side of blogging is typically this.
