Υπεγράφη χθες, παρουσία του πρωθυπουργού Κ. Μητσοτάκη, συμφωνία για την είσοδο του γαλλικού επενδυτικού ομίλου Meridiam ως πλειοψηφικού μετόχου στην εταιρεία Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) που έχει συσταθεί για την ηλεκτρική διασύνδεση Ελλάδας – Κύπρου.

Πρόκειται για θετική εξέλιξη, καθώς αυξάνει σημαντικά τα γαλλικά συμφέροντα που συνδέονται με την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση του έργου: η Meridiam προστίθεται στη Nexans που προμηθεύει το καλώδιο - και δεν είναι τυχαία η παράλληλη υπογραφή στρατηγικής συμφωνίας μεταξύ του ΑΔΜΗΕ, της GSI και της Nexans για την επιτάχυνση της υλοποίησης του έργου.

Πρέπει πάντως να επισημανθεί ότι, ανεξαρτήτως της συγκεκριμένης θετικής εξέλιξης, ο πυρήνας του στρατηγικού προβλήματος σχετικά με τον GSI παραμένει η αντιμετώπιση των τουρκικών αντιδράσεων "επί του πεδίου", για την οποία έχουμε ξαναγράψει ότι η Ελλάδα δεν μπορεί να εξαρτάται από συμμάχους ("αν δεν έχεις νύχια να ξυστείς, μην περιμένεις να σε ξύσουν").

Από αυτή την άποψη είναι ενδιαφέρον ότι η σχετική ανακοίνωση του Μαξίμου χαρακτηρίζει "πρώτη προτεραιότητα την ολοκλήρωση των ερευνών στον θαλάσσιο πυθμένα". Ίδωμεν.

Hello Finn. Are you proud that Finland and Sweden begged the same Turkey they beg to join SAFE and to use its military in Ukraine ( the same Turkey that occupied an EU member state, Cyprus) just so you could join NATO? That same Turkey has opposed zero sanctions on Russia since the invasion, keeps buying Russian oil, and still occupies Cyprus.

Did you know that the largest portion of Russian LNG is imported by France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium (not in that order by volume)?

Meanwhile, Greece has actively supported Ukraine with weapons, sanctions, and political backing from the very beginning. Maybe check facts and your own alliances before accusing Greeks of ‘helping Russia’.

Πολύ σοβαρό περιστατικό, που εκθέτει σημαντικά κενά στην ασφάλεια και τα πρωτόκολλα επικοινωνίας υψηλόβαθμων Ελλήνων αξιωματούχων. Δεν είναι απλή «γκάφα», ο Ντόκος μίλησε για αρκετή ώρα χωρίς να επαληθεύσει την ταυτότητα των συνομιλητών του και στη συζήτηση αναφέρθηκε στο USV (θαλάσσιο drone) της Λευκάδας και ουσιαστικά επιβεβαίωσε την Ουκρανική προέλευσή του, αλλά αποκάλυψε και ότι ο διοικητής της ΕΥΠ βρισκόταν τότε στο Κίεβο για επαφές…
Μέσα σε όλα συνέδεσε ένα ενδεχόμενο νέο περιστατικό με επερχόμενες εκλογές (σε λίγους μήνες) και ότι ένα τέτοιο επεισόδιο θα δημιουργούσε «πολύ σοβαρά προβλήματα» για την κυβέρνηση και ειδικά για τη ΝΔ.

Όλα αυτά σε μη κρυπτογραφημένη/μη ασφαλή βιντεοκλήση!!

Ένας Σύμβουλος Εθνικής Ασφαλείας δεν επιτρέπεται να μιλάει σε βιντεοκλήση με αγνώστους που ισχυρίζονται ότι είναι ξένοι υπουργοί. Αυτό είναι βασικό πρωτόκολλο.

Η αποκάλυψη Κίνησης/παρουσίας του επικεφαλή της ΕΥΠ σε συγκεκριμένη χώρα και χρονική στιγμή θέτει σε κίνδυνο τον ίδιο, την αποστολή και πιθανές πηγές/συνδέσμους/σταθμούς.

Η δήλωση για Εκλογές + πολιτικό κόστος για τη ΝΔ δείχνει πώς η κυβέρνηση ζυγίζει θέματα εθνικής ασφάλειας με κομματικό συμφέρον.

Σαφείς κόκκινες γραμμές και απειλές διακοπής στήριξης είναι χρήσιμο υλικό για την ρωσική προπαγάνδα.

Υπάρχει σοβαρό κενό στα πρωτόκολλα προσωπικής και επιχειρησιακής ασφάλειας υψηλόβαθμων στελεχών. Αν ο Σύμβουλος Εθνικής Ασφαλείας μπορεί να «πέσει» τόσο εύκολα, τι γίνεται με υπουργούς, διευθυντές υπηρεσιών ή άλλους;
Δείχνει ότι η «ασφάλεια» είναι για τα πανηγύρια σε μια χώρα που αντιμετωπίζει γεωπολιτικές προκλήσεις, αμφισβήτηση κυριαρχίας, απειλή πολέμου (casus belli), κλπ απο την Τουρκία.

Όλο αυτό πρωτίστως δίνει τεράστιο υλικό στην αντιπολίτευση και στους Ρώσους για να παρουσιάσουν την ελληνική ηγεσία ως ανίκανη και «υποκριτική».
Υπονομεύει την εικόνα σοβαρότητας της κυβέρνησης Μητσοτάκη σε θέματα εθνικής ασφάλειας.
Δημιουργεί ερωτήματα για το πώς επιλέγονται και ελέγχονται τα πρόσωπα σε τέτοιες θέσεις. Ο Ντόκος είναι ακαδημαϊκός/αναλυτής και όχι στέλεχος καριέρας που απο μόνο του είναι προβληματικό.

Όλο αυτό αποτελεί σοβαρή παραβίαση βασικών κανόνων ασφαλείας που οδήγησε σε διαρροή ευαίσθητων πληροφοριών και πολιτικών εκτιμήσεων σε Ρώσους πράκτορες. Εκθέτει πραγματικά κενά στην προστασία του κράτους και των προσώπων που το υπηρετούν.

Η κυβέρνηση οφείλει τουλάχιστον να διερευνήσει εσωτερικά πώς συνέβη αυτό και να ενισχύσει δραστικά τα πρωτόκολλα (επαλήθευση, secure comms, εκπαίδευση). Διαφορετικά, το μήνυμα είναι ότι ακόμα και ο Σύμβουλος Εθνικής Ασφαλείας μπορεί να μιλάει ελεύθερα με όποιον του τηλεφωνήσει.
Αυτό δεν είναι καλό για καμία χώρα, πόσο μάλλον για την Ελλάδα σε αυτή τη γεωπολιτική συγκυρία.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

We remember every single day until the world delivers justice.
On 19 May 1919, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsounta (Samsun). That moment marked the beginning of the final, organized phase of the extermination of the Pontic Greeks: the continuation of a campaign the Ottomans had already unleashed in 1914.

But the roots of this crime run far deeper.

On 15 August 1461, the Empire of Trebizond (Trapezounta), the last free Greek state of the East, fell to the Ottomans. From that day, the Pontic Greeks became a people marked for erasure. Yet they endured. They survived. They remained.
DNA doesn’t lie.

Modern genetic studies show that Pontic Greeks in Greece and the descendants of those who stayed in today’s Pontos share the same ancient lineage; unbroken since antiquity. One people. One blood. One story.

And that story still breathes in the land itself.
In the villages of the Pontic mountains, our Pontic Greek dialect (Romeyka) is still spoken. The soul-shaking sound of the Pontic Lyra still cuts through the air. The fierce, ancient steps of the Choron (χορόν) are still danced. Even when Turkish is the language of daily life, the culture refuses to be silenced.
Yet the appropriation is shameless.

Local authorities in Pontos parade our traditional costumes as symbols of “unique Pontic culture”, while conveniently erasing the word Greek.
Turkish television series like Taşacak Bu Deniz (“This Sea Will Overflow”) borrow our songs, our melodies, our emotional depth… and present them as their own.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄.

Like a Black Sea tsunami, the truth is rising. The universal recognition of the Pontic Greek Genocide, the systematic destruction of hundreds of thousands of our people between 1914 and 1923, is coming. Truth cannot stay buried forever.
Until that day arrives, we demand basic respect:
Acknowledge that the living cultural heartbeat of Pontos: the dialect, the music, the dances, the costumes, the very soul of the Black Sea originates from Pontic Greek civilization.

Preserve and protect our ancient Pontic Greek dialect.

To every Pontian in Greece, in the diaspora, and to those still in the Pontos who carry this heritage in silence:

We see you. We remember. We will not let them erase us.

19 May is not one day.
It is a reminder that our fight continues 365 days a year, until the genocide is recognized by the entire international community.
The sea is rising.
The truth is coming.
