Next Monday, 23 September, 7.30pm on @BBCScotland, the Adventure Show cover the 2024 World Orienteering Championships in Edinburgh this July.
Should be a nice reminder of the great event our amazing team of volunteers staged, you should watch too!

@CountrysideBen Seems odd that someone who managed to put it up (there is nack) would abandon it. But if it’s getting dumped then I am sure your local orienteering club @MarOClub might appreciate it as this looks like a design that’s popular for team tents.
@NickNairn hoping you can help - been trying to book someone on your course but email gone unanswered and phone call got a "all done by email" response... probably just needs a nudge?
So @premierinn if I understand this correctly by prebooking breakfast you’ve charged me double the price I would pay by just turning up? Is that how you treat your customers?
@MallinsonT@geeky_gillon@doctorcaldwell I think *some* object to learning about non-clinical things. Phishing attacks, fire, deescalating conflict seem like legit topics. I agree Qs are poor. A FOI request responses would be interesting - perhaps they are asking because some are still getting most basics wrong.
@MallinsonT@geeky_gillon@doctorcaldwell The fact Q’s are crap is not necessarily indication that topic is a waste of time. Using cheat sheet probably screws up analytics so they think takes little time & users understand question! Need to be careful that objection is to quality of the tools not ongoing learning.
@CharlesTTHF You (and Wes) have assumed that the case is resolved with a single GP visit. If it’s serious enough (in patients eyes) to sit in A&E for hours, it may well involve multiple visits (see GP, go to phlebotomist for blood, go to back to discuss results etc).
@CharlesTTHF@JohannaSurgeon The economic thrust of your argument may not be changed by this, but your assumption that GP = less serious pathology seems to be flawed. Most cancer patients first present to their GP. Most broken fingers and toes go the A&E or MIU.
@roomitchell@ScottishEPA@JamesHuttonInst @curranjc @erikmaceachern@SharonFlanigan_@Paulinesilverm1 Sepa have number of flood tools online: more sophisticated than number of times area has flooded before - changes can +/- risk. Pcode seems bad for hist geo data as only since 60s & new ones created for new housing, inaccurate in low housing density & different physical areas.
We are excited to announce the buyout of Novarum DX Ltd from @bbi_solutions by existing management and new investors including @innovainsights, heralding expansion into a wider range of applications.
@ShinyBlackShoe @Framheadteacher @Ofstednews@educat The Education Act requires schools to open 190 days a year but there’s no sanction if they don’t. Safeguarding risks probably actually greater when school closed - but not his problem then!
Recruitment for Justices of the Peace in a number of areas of Scotland (including the Lothians) has begun: https://t.co/ZHQVEjDOy9 it’s important that the widest possible range of people consider applying so share with anyone who may be interested.
