This response perfectly sums up the reasons why Trump won and why so many former democrats put their support behind him. The elitist smugness of progressive liberals within the party and the msm is being laid bared for all to see.

Democrat here. There's a reason why big Blue got trashed tonight, and it's not because of a lack of education or the IQ of voters. Democrat voters have left the party because it's been highjacked by extreme leftists that are out of touch with reality. The party's zealous embrace of gender ideology & capitulation to the demands of the billion dollar trans lobby has had a devastating impact on nearly all facets of our society. The Biden-appointed Asst. Secretary of Health, a man who claims he's a woman, promotes the medicalization & surgical mutilation of confused kids. While the rest of the world puts the brakes on puberty blockers & these barbaric surgeries, Democrats continue to champion them.

Dems have also taken away Title IX protections for women & girls, let males access female-only sports and spaces, and put actual male sex offenders in women's prisons. The party has betrayed women & and sacrificed children on the altar of gender ideology. As a result, so many lifelong Democratic voters now consider themselves politically homeless or have switched parties. Plus, people on both sides are upset about the border policies, increased crime & cost of living.
