3/ MakeMyTrip claimed they forwarded the request to Lufthansa on July 8th, but it was actually done on July 12th after repeated follow-ups. The customer service experience was a nightmare.
@makemytripcare I have sent you, but I don’t think you guys are really interested in addressing the issue and why would you after all it’s free earnings of more than 4 lakhs. As per my last conversation with Lufthansa they refunded the amount on 16th of July which now is your profit.
7/ I recommend everyone to avoid @makemytrip , especially for significant amounts. They lure you with false discounts and promises of good service, but in reality, their services are both expensive and poor.
2/ Unfortunately, our visas were rejected. As per Lufthansa's policy, we were entitled to a full refund. I submitted the refund request to MakeMyTrip, as Lufthansa only processes refunds through the booking agent.
Trapped By @makemytrip - A Tale of Rs. 4,32,000 Scam
1/ Recently, I booked three business class tickets through MakeMyTrip for my Europe trip with my wife and daughter. Our journey was scheduled from Delhi to Paris and Milan to Delhi with Lufthansa on July 15th.

The battery sector is sparking excitement, with stocks experiencing a significant rise today. 📈
Two of the biggest Indian battery companies - Amara Raja Energy and Exide Industries have touched fresh lifetime highs today. Amara Raja Energy rose by ~20% today.
This surge can be attributed to a couple of key factors:
1) Amara Raja's Power Play: The company signed a licensing agreement with GIB EnergyX. This unlocks access to cutting-edge battery technology and manufacturing expertise from Gotion High-Tech, a major Chinese battery player.
This strategic move positions Amara Raja for significant growth, and unsurprisingly, their stock price jumped in response.
2) The Future is Electric (and Needs Batteries): The broader market recognises the battery sector's immense potential. The demand for batteries is projected to skyrocket in the coming years, fueled by the electric vehicle (EV) revolution and the growing adoption of renewable energy sources like solar and wind. 🔋
This translates to a massive opportunity for all battery companies, not just Amara Raja.
What does this mean for you?
The rise in battery stocks presents an interesting opportunity for investors. However, looking at the current levels, the stocks are trading at an expensive valuation.
Amara Raja and Exide Industries stocks have given 100% returns in 2-3 months 😲
Here are some additional points to consider while researching battery stocks:
👉 Individual company analysis: While the overall sector seems promising, delve deeper into specific companies. Look at their technology roadmap, market positioning, and financial health.
👉 Long-term perspective: The EV revolution and renewable energy transition are long-term trends. Consider this a potential long-term play, not a quick buck.
The battery sector is dynamic and constantly evolving. Stay informed of industry trends and announcements from the key players.

Zee Entertainment is once again in the news!
This time not for a merger but for a mega fundraise.
After the Sony and Zee $10bn merger was cancelled in January, which would have created the largest Indian TV conglomerate, the share price of Zee Entertainment fell drastically by over 30% in a single day.
On 6th June, the board approved raising ₹2,000 crore through the issuance of new equity shares or any other eligible securities. The fundraise will be in one or more tranches.
Since this announcement, the share price has risen and closed at 5% today.
After the Sony merger was cancelled, the company has been facing a lot of issues:
👉 Cutting costs to reduce losses as the net profit of the company has fallen over the past 8 years from ₹2,220 crores in FY17 to ₹141 cores in FY24.
👉 Laying off 15% of the workforce
👉 Remodel the company’s leadership structure
This fundraise will give the flexibility to the company to pursue growth opportunities in the fast-evolving media business.
In Mar’24, Reliance and Disney Hotstar merged to form an entity valued at $8.5bn. This has created a very tough competitor in the media landscape as it has access to 100 channels across entertainment and sports, and two digital streaming platforms along with exclusive rights.
There is still a lot of space left to grow in the media industry.
It will be interesting to see how Zee Entertainment will give competition to the other players.

3-day election saga is over.
The stock market rise and fall based on exit polls and election results is now negated by markets rising today.
Today, the Nifty 50 index rose 3.36%, crossing Friday's closing value by 90 points.
The public and institutional investors have shown trust in the third term of the Modi government.
But, unlike in 2019, the BJP was unable to form the government on its own as it fell short of the majority by winning 240 seats this time as compared to 303 seats in 2019.
The Modi government has been formed with the help of an alliance winning 292 seats in total. However, there will still be nervousness in the market until Narendra Modiji takes oath on 8th June.
Since it is a coalition government, the BJP would not be able to make strong decisions on its own like it did in the past.
Investors and traders might be looking to realign their portfolios. In the near term, we can see the shift of money flow into sectors like IT, Pharma, and FMCG. Investors are betting on these sectors as they are not very related to the election outcome.
People are still positive about the growth story of India under the coalition government as this is not the first time it has happened.
There has been a coalition government from 1989 to 2014 and India’s GDP grew over 8% in this time period.
Believing in the Indian growth story and staying invested for the long term is far more important than anything.
