I don't think the Framer template business is dead instead it's evolving. AI and Framer Agents will definitely change how templates are made, but that will not gonna eliminate the demand for them.

And why i think in this way coz,
- A 50–300$ template is still an easier way for founders to launch a professional website. As starting from a proven, conversion-focused template is often easier than generating an entire site from scratch and refining it for hours.

- Most founders know their business but not design. They can describe the features, animations, or vibes they want, but translating that into a professional website still requires design thinking. AI can generate a strong first draft, but making something feel real and memorable usually takes human refinement. And am not saying it generally as i heard about some cases like people first uses and then came to designers coz the result felt common or unpolished. AI is excellent for speed, but quality & realness still matters.

- And instead of competing against AI, we should use it in a smarter way. Like Framer Agents will handle repetitive work, speed up production, or build complex interactions faster, while we focus on creativity, UX, storytelling, and the final 20% that makes a product really stand out.

I also don't think the old "quantity over quality" mindset will work as well anymore. As AI makes it easier for everyone to publish templates, the marketplace will become more competitive. The templates that stand out will be the ones with better design systems, stronger UX, cleaner interactions, and a clear specific niche like don't move around a topic, just pick a clear one and then start working on it.

And summarisingly advance Framer templates are still getting sales which suggests there's still healthy demand.
