I heard someone say, satan got adam and eve to fix their eyes on one tree when god had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of god that's already surrounding you.
As a man, never neglect your mental health. Get that haircut. Hit the gym. Hang with the boys. Take yourself. Watch that game. Play that video game. Take that road trip. Spend time in nature. Get some sleep. Don’t get so lost in the grind that you forget to live.
keep doing things for you. just for you. for your own recognition. for your own approval. for your own joy. keep doing things that spark confidence and self understanding. keep experiencing yourself.
Part of growing up is realizing you’re not above anything. Homelessness, job loss, heartbreak, illness, failure, even death can happen to anyone. Life can humble you overnight. Stay grateful, stay grounded, and never look down on someone struggling.
Friendship and love is an inconvenience, being someone’s village is an inconvenience. When shit hits the fan it’s rarely at a “good” time. It’s an honour to be fucking inconvenienced, to be someone’s phone call, to be someone’s safe place to land.
I remember when this guy started a channel to teach people how to make money, and people dragged him.
“if you know so much about money, why aren’t you rich?” 😂 Meanwhile, the guy was already a billionaire.
If people can drag Ray Dalio, a billionaire investor, then who the hell are you?
6 reasons why you should go for it.
- life is short
- it’s all or nothing
- who cares what others think
- you are strong enough to do hard things
- doing what you love makes success likely
- universe likes brave people who work through the period of uncertainty
a major cheat code in life is assuming things will work out, not because you’re delusional, but because you know you’ll do the work to make it happen. you stop trying to control the outcome and start trusting yourself to figure things out. that quiet confidence makes uncertainty a lot easier to live with.
i dare you to be as delusional as possible for 30 days. compliment strangers. ask for things that feel out of your reach. take shot after shot after shot. you won’t hit them all, but you’ll hit a couple. but what you hit isn’t the point. it’s about rewiring what you see as possible. when you remove your self imposed limits, you realize they were never real to begin with. anything is possible my friend. but it’s up to you to pursue it.
