Hi my name is Charlie and #LongCovid has destroyed my life. Today is two years.
Before my 'mild infection' I was a healthy fit 30 year old biking 10 miles a day. Now I can't work or leave the house. I still can't breathe right. It‘s a nightmare.
Here are my 4 questions:
How hard will it be to put masks back on @spaikin asks? Dr. Juni believes Ontarians would be okay with masking to avoid further restrictions. Says testing should be freely available, as well as other surveillance methods.
Why yes, my kids ARE going to continue to wear N95 masks to school, and for a very good reason, too.
COVID isn't a respiratory disease. It's a vascular and neurotropic disease. Cognitive impairment can't even be properly assessed in young kids, btw.

PSA: Dr Juni is way off base thinking Ontario's profile of vaccinations & natural infection create a recipe for success as we run full tilt into the 6th wave without any protective measures. Schools/daycares take 1st place in race to bottom. Prize=COVID #LongCovidKids
@normsworld@COVIDSciOntario This is just theatre they need to directly call out @fordnation & @Sflecce for putting our school communities at risk. They need to state the rise of case in schools will be as a direct result of their directive #MasksWork
If your kid can be maskless at school during the pandemic, then mine can eat her peanut butter sandwich and chase it with a Bud.
Because personal choice. Because rights without responsibilities.
Shared with me from an Ontario school:
“Everyday 4-6 students test positive…that we are told about. At least 2 staff are now also positive. It’s exponentially growing.”
@Sflecce, just think of the numbers when masking is eliminated?
Hiding data is irresponsible.
Do any school trustees follow my tweets? Not sure.
Schools aren't safe, with ~20,000 new cases/day in ON. Our kids need PPE to keep schools open.
Safety unravels fast - peer pressure and all - if masks become optional.
The science IS clear. It's the politics that are f'd up.
@normsworld@metromorning Why the rush? Kids have been wearing them this whole time. The school year is almost over, let kids finish the year out safely. #onted
Peter Juni notes we should have waited a few more weeks to collect data from Quebec’s mask mandate coming off in schools before ending ours. Hopes school communities continue to mask after March Break. #topoli#onpoli#onted
Tuned into @metromorning with Dr. Peter Juni. Says it’s too early to call taking masks off. We should wait, see how Quebec does with masks off at school. Says he was surprised by the announcement and the majority of folks are good keeping masks on for now. #topoli#onpoli#onted
@theedpodcast Yes I would stop for the paycheque and the politics that go into teaching but I will continue by volunteering or helping in programs..go in as a guest artist. I will continue to teach but different ways of doing it without a salary....the dream!
