After working as a marriage and family therapist, I've noticed trends among adults, children, and family dynamics.
Here's what I've observed:
Most people are overwhelmed and controlled by their emotions.
The worst part?
They are blaming other people for it.
Talarico: I am tired of being pitted against my neighbor. I'm tired of being told to hate my neighbor. It's been more than ten years of this kind of politics. Politics as bloodsport, politics as trolling and owning politics as total war. It tears families apart. It ends friendships, and it leaves us all feeling terrible all the time.
We cannot defeat the politics of division with more division. We can't win their game. We have to change the game. This campaign is rooted in a fierce love for this state, for this country, and most importantly, for all of our neighbors.
@KenOno691 Never automate anything that builds character traits such as resilience, innovation, emotional intelligence, etc. Aside from that, I am very excited to see the developments that will come from the changing work and education landscapes with increased AI use. It’s so exciting!
I’m convinced that @jamestalarico has the right temperament to do three things:
1) Help heal the divide between left and right
2) Push back against the moral and spiritual rot taking hold in parts of American Christianity
3) Undermine and expose Christian nationalism for what it is: deeply un-Christian
Even some of my MAGA friends and family have told me they respect what he stands for and think he’s a genuinely good person.
The fact this post even exists is sad. We don’t need any more wars. Tact and diplomacy are not “dumb” skills. We teach children how to use coping skills and learn emotional regulation, and then when they become adults they’re supposed to get on board with going to war and achieving “peace through strength”? No wonder we have the most anxious, medicated youth this country has ever seen.
@AliciaResnicoff@elonmusk Exactly. Why this is being deemed inappropriate is beyond me. To imply avg federal employees are making millions per year is false. Instead, it’s being fiscally responsible, which is the whole point right? To manage our finances efficiently so we don’t need government handouts.
