Have we told you about this new tech startup led by our alumni?
The team @d_bochaberi@june_lindah and Hope Kagame, started their responsible innovation work during our innovation track in Cohort 7 (2023).
Today they are continuing to build ClassifyMe, a machine-learning product that supports high school students to make better university course choices.

Cohort 9 is here! ๐
On Saturday, in partnership with @positivesumA and @iHub, we officially launched our 9th cohort, which includes 40 tech-aligned students students from 15 Kenyan universities!
Over the next eight months, under the guidance of our industry mentors and company partners, they will be upskilled across six areas - personal development, professional competence, responsible innovation, technical skills, scholarship excellence, and community engagement.
Featuring: Hawatif Abdisalam (UoN), Victor Githae (Karatina University), Gwendolyn Amanda (JKUAT), Andrew Kiptoo (Multimedia University).
Friends, happy new year!
We are grateful to those who worked with us, helped spread the gospel of doing one's life's work, & from whom we learned a lot.
See you all at work!
It's a wrap for Cohort 8! 38 tech students from 17 Kenyan universities joined us in March 2024, and all 38 graduated on Nov 16th 2024. ๐
While we pride ourselves in a 100% completion rate, we are more honored with the impact we've been able to achieve in complementing classroom learning with holistic upskilling. This being a cohort of many firsts where we implemented our new stakeholder-driven mentorship curriculum, we are pleased with the results.
We completed the cohort in style with a retro-themed celebration!
Many thanks to our collaborators and supporters including our alumni and friends, industry mentors, @PurpinkGifts@positivesumA, and SFAI Kenya Prolific.
Cohort 9 application cycle is now open - see pinned tweet for details.
