Players
You never know who's watching you.
That can help you.
It could be.
A coach from the opposing team.
An umpire.
A parent in the stands.
A fan.
A recruiter or scout that is at the game watching someone else.
Play the game everyday like someone is seeing you for the first time.
Compete and play like you love the game.
What kind of a baseball world are we living in when a pitcher goes 5.1 and fans stand up to applaud?
We are conditioning pitchers not only to throw less than 100 pitches in an outing, but also that when it hits the 5th inning and they get in any trouble, they start looking in the dugout for help. No one is allowed to extend an outing and get out of a jam himself. We're creating soft baseball players.
Pitchers:
You’ve chosen to play the most mentally demanding position on the field. Not only do you have to deal with your own mistakes, failures and errors (and be able to move on within seconds), you have to manage your emotions after your teammates errors, umpires missed calls, the weather, poor pitching mound conditions while even sometimes pitching to a catcher who is struggling receiving the ball and still be able to throw competitive pitch after competitive pitch.
It’s all part of the gig though. You’ll never be able to get away from these things. Your weakness is complaining and blaming these things for your performance while your strength can be how you handle all of it with grace allowing you to be present in the moment and be competitive with each pitch.
No one is saying this is easy but understanding what comes with it will help you to better evaluate and prepare for your next opportunity.
PARENTS: If you do not allow your athletes to play UP, you are hindering physical and mental athletic growth! Children have competed with older peers for decades, fostering skill set growth! Do not fall for the business model of 8U-14U baseball! Stay local. Let kids PLAY! @bsblbluebook
The absolute most impressive part of PerfectGame business model is that by the time you realize you’ve been robbed and wasted thousands upon thousands of dollars, your kids baseball career is just about over.
Still looking for a home? Beginning
the process? Want high level instruction before the “winter workouts”? Maybe all of the above?
LOOK NO FURTHER!!
We are less than a month away from the last @KSCBaseball prospect camp of 2024 on December 15th!!

Fall OF training on “challenge reps” vs “routine reps” on “gap ground balls” including maximizing efficient routes and finishing throws to nail baserunner at second or third base. Throws in air are made “through target” and long hops are made “to target.” We must train the plays we expect players to make in games. Every split second matters between out and safe, win and lose. Players must lean to become comfortable in the uncomfortable.
