@NikJ87@wearejames@RealTimBooth There are so many great songs on Pudding that it would be a real shame if they never get a live airing. If Yummy captures “James 2024”, Pudding for me is like stumbling on a vault of brilliant James songs from across the past 35 years.
@eventhestarsuk@wearejames The comment that prompted Saul’s “TripAdvisor” line was a deadpan “It was very good” in response to the song. This came after Saul had noted how quiet the crowd were being between songs.
@BoothLyric If James ever decided to do a live gig playing one entire album (plus associated b-sides), I’d love it to be this one. It’s also probably the only way I’ll ever get to hear them play a joyous gem like Shooting My Mouth Off live.
#JamesAnthology Day 10 - B-sides+
1. Downstairs
2. Hedex
3. The Lake
4. Wisdom of the Throat
5. Your Story
6. Not So Strong
Really needed 10 slots to do this one justice: All Good Boys, I Defeat, Building a Charge, Imagine Ourselves - the list goes on.
#jamesanthology Day 8 - Millionaires
1. Shooting My Mouth Off
2. We’re Going to Miss You
3. Crash
Shooting My Mouth Off is such a wonderfully uplifting song, I’d love to hear it live one day.
#JamesAnthology Day 7 - Whiplash
1. She’s a Star
2. Play Dead
3. Avalanche
(Probably should have had Lost a Friend or Waltzing Along in there, but they somehow cancelled each other out in the final vote.)
#JamesAnthology Day 6 - Wah Wah
1. Pressure’s On
2. Tomorrow
3. Gospel Oak
Not sure I’ve ever listened to it without skipping a track or two, which is unthinkable for any other James album
#JamesAnthology Day 5 - Laid
1. Sometimes
2. Lullaby
3. Five-O
I’ve never heard Lullaby performed live, so that’s on my James wish list (along with a compilation of all the great B-sides currently unavailable in digital form).
#JamesAnthology Day 3 - Gold Mother
1. Top of the World
2. Crescendo
3. Sit Down
On another day, though, I could have included Come Home, How Was It For You? or Lose Control. And so the challenge of choosing your favourite children truly begins.
