"It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor."
PCA TE Rick Appleton “You have authority over your wife.” If she doesn’t like that, “Let her fight with Jesus Christ.”

Guess what:
You can be a faithful Presbyterian and Reformed, plain-vanilla, ordinary means of grace, confessional minister who holds to the spirituality of the church and still believe that the magistrate has a duty to promote true religion.
@Me0fLittleFaith@BobTheBaptist That’s a little over the top. If you don’t want to actually look at the arguments being presented that’s up to you. Many of the men I know who embrace CN are godly men. Every camp has its bad apples.
Loving my neighbor is FULFILLED in Christ. (Matt, 5:17)

A Christian nation is a nation that acknowledges Christ as Lord, whether explicitly in a written constitution or implicitly in its customs and laws. It does NOT mean the nation is holy, set apart, in any way like the Church. But it’s a nation that self-consciously points its people toward the Christ and the Church.
@BobTheBaptist “a totality of national action, consisting of civil laws and social customs, conducted by a Christian nation as a Christian nation, in order to procure for itself both earthly and heavenly good in Christ”
