@0800HEADSHOT // i think it’s because i tend to post a lot because i get Excited easily and autism …. Not to mention i just started writing again so i think i sillied too close to the sun
… Oh! Splendid!
[ he takes the bone and inspects it, before tucking it away into his pocket and patting it twice— for good measure. ]
May I ask where you found such a thing?
in that case….
( she lifts up a finger — a way to say ‘one second’ as she scurries off to where she keeps all her ingredients. she eventually comes back with what appear to be a vertebra. )
here you go !
You’ll find I’m surprisingly resilient. ☝️
Ah… It’s a spell that summons a phantom canine. But you require bone as a material component in order to execute it.
so you would rather risk getting a cold than using a heating spell or something of that sort?
( grabbing a fire poker , she carefully adjusts the logs , watching the fire grow a bit brighter. )
i believe so … ?
remind me again.
Alas… I did not. I wouldn’t waste valuable arcane energy on something like that, either.
[ he shifts to be closer to the fireplace, holding his hands near the flame to warm them. ]
And, ah… Have you heard of Mordenkainen’s Faithful Hound?
&&. underneath her arms. heading over to the fireplace , she places them in. )
and let me guess …
you didn’t have a spell to shield you from the rain ?
( a tease. )
what kind of spells were you planning to create?
i just found out about it myself from owl. apparently my uncle wanted them to make a basement and boom , they struck lava! so now there’s just a small river of lava.
( she flails her arms a bit for emphasis on her words , picking up a few logs and carrying them &&.
… Lava? In the basement?
[ he watches her putter about, shrugging off his robes and wringing them out. ]
I was searching for material components for spells. I hadn’t noticed how dark it was getting overhead… 💧
no worries , i’ll just have a mop clean it up!
( rushing to gather logs to start a fire. )
if the fire isn’t enough, we can head down to the basement … it’s real warm down there! on account of . . . the lava . . .
( clears her throat. )
anyways !
