Everyday! There are glitches everyday for me, when using technology. The Smart TV, promethean board, or internet go out at least once a day at school. Always at the most inopportune times. Luckily, students are used to it and are patient.

My favorite tech tool to get kids engaged is Blooket. They like the competition aspect of the games. Even the most uninterested student becomes interested when you show the Blooket code.

I feel that the barriers to digital equity are being addressed by supplying buildings with more iPads. I wonder if all schools are getting an amount commensurate with what is needed versus where the building is located. This inequity a long-term issue.

By being organized and planning ahead, a teacher can be aware of what topics are being covered, then knowing what Ed. Tech. tool would be most suitable. The struggle is that the students are not consistent in having their iPads so they can fully engage with tech

The tool I use to check the SES of my students is Padlet. The students have to tell me in emojis how they are feeling. Sometimes it is fun to try to decode their pictures. It's amazing how much little emojis can tell you without any words.

Coding is beneficial to teach in schools for several reasons. Coding teaches problems solving skills, its teaches the importance of "if...then" situations, it teaches math, and it is the future. Early exposure its key to the future.
