If you do this, it may be why things escalate.
When they yell. You yell back.
Try not raising your voice. A raised voice is a voice in inner turmoil that needs a soft interruption to be quelled.
There’s more power and control in the power of control.
That’s you.
#Parenting for #todaysparent
Don’t think you have to respond to your childs’ every whim or #tantrum right away. Instead, offer kind and helpful direction.
Allow them space to practice their ability to self regulate. Even in public.
Their #behavior isn’t a reflection of you.
Anger isn’t anger.
Anger is fear dressed in wolf’s armour.
When you identify and accept the underlying fear, you can begin to tame anger, and output emotional management.
Now that’s, control.
This is the control you want.
How powerful.
The DL on #Boundaries: They aren’t for them. They’re for you, to establish constructs from them, their behaviours, and actions.
Now that you know this, who do you think is responsible for making sure boundaries are upheld?
Here’s a hint. That same person holds all the power.
Your ability to speak up, about anything, rests in what you think about yourself. What you think others think about you shouldn’t be the reason why you make or don’t make a choice and, offers no real quantitative evaluation of your self worth. Self acceptance IS your self worth.
Your boundaries are being broken because they’re not taking you seriously. Boundaries are commitments to your non-negotiables you have to be clear on. Proper delivery ensures they stay sustainable. How’s your delivery? Are they still breaking your boundaries? I’ll show you how.

They’re hard to keep in place.
