Message From Reader | My wife separated me from my parents when they needed us most in their old age

▪️Got married in late 90s, am the only son of my parents, no other sibling
▪️From day 1, we were very clear that I would stay with my wife and parents in 1 home, in fact, had refused two alliances where the girl was not sure
▪️Then came my wife who agreed that we would stay with my parents as she was also working & it suited our work balance
▪️We had a son & daughter over the years & while we would be at work, my kids had been mostly raised by my mom
▪️She did everything from dressing them for school, my dad would leave them for the bus, to when they returned, their food, sleep, play time, homework, literally everything
▪️When my kids turned 19 & 16 years respectively, my wife gave me an ultimatum to buy a new home
▪️I agree our current home was small & we needed more space so I was willing to buy a bigger apartment (since we both were working and could afford) so that my parents could also shift and stay with us
▪️However, after so many years of my mother's care, she threatened and compelled me to separate
▪️She even poisoned my children against their daada-daadi, who actually raised them all these years
▪️I had to then keep a full-time maid for my parents since now when they needed us in their old age, we had left
▪️My mother passed away some years ago & till the end I was guilty & could not see in her eye properly
▪️Women keep complaining about harassment and cruelty, but only we know what we men go through between parents and wife (I still continue to live with wife & children, men don't have much choice)

If reservation is a beacon of hope, why exclude the judiciary? Only 3% of High court and Supreme court judges are Dalits, only 12% women. The Supreme court has never had a woman Chief Justice or an ST judge. Never.
