🌱 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦਿਵਸ 2026 ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਬੋਰਡ, ਖੇਤਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ NHAI ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਡੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ NH-44 ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੁੱਖ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੜਕ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਡਿਵਾਈਡਰ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 3,000 ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹਵਾ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ, ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਅੱਜ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਹਰ ਪੌਦਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆ-ਭਰਿਆ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ। 🌿

🌱 On World Environment Day 2026, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office Fatehgarh Sahib, in collaboration with NHAI, undertook a major plantation drive along NH-44 in Mandi Gobindgarh.
Approximately 3,000 saplings were planted along the roadside and central divider to enhance green cover, improve air quality, and promote environmental sustainability in the non-attainment city of Mandi Gobindgarh.
Every tree planted today is a step towards cleaner air and a greener future. 🌿

🌍 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦਿਵਸ 2026 ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਬੋਰਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੁਸ਼ਪਾ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੀਚੇਵਾਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਮਲ ਕਿਸ਼ੋਰ ਯਾਦਵ, ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਲਵਨੀਤ ਦੁਬੇ, ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸਕੱਤਰ, PPCB ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹੇ।
ਸਕੂਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ, ਐਨਜੀਓਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਰਸਾਈ।

ਟੀਮ PPCB ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ ਬੈਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਕੰਪੋਸਟੇਬਲ ਬੈਗ ਵਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਕੰਪੋਸਟੇਬਲ ਬੈਗ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਤਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਹ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਸਿੰਗਲ ਯੂਜ਼ ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ (SUP) ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ PPCB ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਹੈ।

🌱 Promoting Sustainable Seva 🌱
Team PPCB appealed to Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib to replace plastic bags used for parshad with eco-friendly compostable bags. Responding positively, the Head Granthi Ji shared a message urging the sangat to use compostable bags instead of plastic bags for seva.
This initiative is part of PPCB’s campaign against Single-Use Plastic (SUP), which is being expanded to Gurudwaras across Punjab.

“ਇੱਕ ਪੇੜ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ RO-1, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ LiFE ਅਤੇ ਈ-ਵੇਸਟ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਜੀਵਨਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ, ਈ-ਵੇਸਟ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਰੁੱਖ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੰਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਲਿਆ।

An awareness & sensitization programme on Mission LiFE and E-Waste Reduction was successfully organized at RO-1, Jalandhar under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative. Participants pledged to adopt sustainable practices, reduce e-waste, and contribute towards environmental conservation through tree plantation and responsible living.
