COZ OF THIS GUY(and the team) I GOT MY FIRST 6DIGITS MONEY THAT HELP ME BUILD THE LIFE I HAVE TODAY! MABUHAY KA LUKE POGI I LOVE YOU @pixels_online I LOVE YOU @heidichristne 😘
Let's get personal...
What some of you don't understand about me is I have never been doing this for money. I still have taken 0 $PIXEL, have never sold Farm Land, & only take a modest salary (I had the lowest salary on the team until only recently).
The happiest I ever was, was when I was living in a surf hostel cleaning toilets & making beds everyday. If I was maximizing for personal happiness right now I would have already left & started crewing on sailboats again, and I would need exactly $0 to do start doing that.
If you want to dig into my psychology of why I'm building @pixels_online here it is...
1. My Word. I take my word seriously & I promised I would build not just one of the biggest web3 games but also one of the biggest gaming companies in the world. Whether we achieve this or not (I really think we will) I owe it to at least give everything I can to stay true to my word.
2. A Duty to use the gifts given to me & to use my full potential to leave an impact on the world. The opportunity in front of us to legitimately massive. The fact that we actually have a chance to change gaming forever by making play-to-earn mainstream is amazing. The fact that I might be able to play a pivotal role in that is extremely motivating.
3. A duty to community. Building Pixels with all of you has been amazing. There are so many people here that care about what we're building and who show up everyday with us. I strongly feel like I owe it all to you to give my best everyday and to build the best product possible for you guys to use.
4. A duty to team. We have an amazing team here at Pixels, they have put their hearts and souls into building this product. We have been through good times & hard times, I want these people to win so badly now - they're like family.
5. A duty to the early believers. I always felt like someone that was overlooked for a long time - there were a few people who took a risk on me really early in my entrepreneurial journey and I think about those individuals a lot when things get tougher - I really want them to feel rewarded & show appreciation for their early belief.
6. Growth. There is nothing that I could do that would grow me more than this. Building Pixels is hard and not always fun (though it is fun a lot of the times too) - but that's exactly why this is interesting to me. I love doing hard things - in my free time I'm regularly doing 20 mile trail runs in the mountains. But building a start up is harder & pushes me in a way that a hobby like running never could. The growth and level of responsibility I get the opportunity to take on is a gift - and
Until I have given everything that I possibly can - I will not stop building Pixels. We'll continue to build with integrity, transparency, & honesty. Once we achieve the things we set out to, maybe I'll chill again - but there's still way too much to do before that.
