@gurtmilner1 @BBCBreaking Aws is only a warning system plenty of times ppl acknowledged an aws and have read across signals or lost concentration etc. Its tpws that woukd stop a train st a red signal but tpws is generally only at high risk locations.

The only inefficiency comes from our private sector rail companies compared to state run mainly in Europe. You stated aslef stops modernisation so surely they wouldn't allow new trains or the training
