@AFCBeef I think it’s exceedingly worrying that these groups are now bolstered & legitimised by the West. Especially as I said with Bandera, & myths about the war being propagated. Regardless Russia has no leg to stand on, any peace achieved now is temporary.
@AFCBeef You’re right, it’s very common for people from those countries, especially in the west to hate the Soviets. The question is whether the treatment by the Soviets against these elements, who helped commit the Holocaust is warranted. By 1990 polling showed the USSR as popular.
@Justwilliam05@ShihabSJoi@intermarium24@FionaCochrane6 The leaders of these countries are used to it. They hate the Soviets & by extension, the Russians for defeating them & ending the holocaust. Finally then occupying them to eliminate the revival of the Nazi ideology.
@_PeterRyan Indeed they did in Cambodia. Pol Pot was a part of that class of citizen.
Empires have always been managed with the consent of the elite; there was always some racial element behind it as well such as in Guatemala.
@_PeterRyan That's bollocks. Why would so many have left Ireland without hope?
All the lads heading down to Australia are hoping to return in 3 years with a pocket full of cash & dreams of owning a home eventually
3rd horseman is commonly called Famine, but he specifically does NOT blight crops, does not damage food. His weapon is the scales, and "destroys" not by weather or worm, but market manipulation.
A closer name might be "Inflation" or "Capital" or "Bread Fixing" or "Galen Weston."
@CllrAdamGannon Good man, Belcoo had an active railway until '57.
Sligo to Derry & Monaghan would incorporate Fermanagh well enough. Especially if we could get a railway station in/near Enniskillen.
